Most people in general have a tendency to rate others and themselves on a scale of 1 to 10 to figure out whether someone's attractive or not. It's slightly amusing and very simple so there's no harm in doing it. But I attraction is more complicated than that.

Think of attraction as brass balance scale. On one side you have your attractive traits and on the other side you have your unattractive traits. But not every trait is equally heavy. It will obviously depend on person so person but let's agree to make generalities here. Let's say for men being tall is definitely heavier than a nice haircut. I'm not saying it's game over if you're short, I'm just saying you would need to make some heavy attractive traits to tip the scale on the side of attractiveness.

So if you're very honest with ourselves, I'm are self aware enough to figure out a few attractive traits and unattractive traits that we have than we can easily find out whether we're attractive or not.

Now, you might be asking how we're supposed to know how much does each trait weight. Traits like charisma, confidence, etc are too vague to measure. I would say it depends on how much you have said traits. The more charisma you have the heavier it would be.

But at the end of the day why even bother doing all this when you can be just approaching girls left and right? I see a lot of guys here make post about how they approached this girl and that girl and got rejected. I girl could reject you for a million different reasons but becoming more attractive would definitely lower the chances. I think it's a good enough to figure what you might be lacking or what might make you unattractive.
