Hey y’all, me and my stbxw been separated for two and half months and now I am ready to file for the divorce. Will meet an attorney on Friday and see if he can file for me based on his charge. I’m in Texas and currently earns about $250k as my gross income so roughly $160k net overall. She doesn’t have a full time job but does PRN sometimes. She’s been a stay home mom for the past 3years cos I make some sort of money so I allowed her to stay home. We have a kid together and I currently pay 1200 in daycare and send her $800 for the child afterwards. I pay for his health insurance as well. How screwed am I if I go ahead and file? Has anyone done it this way before? I’m in texas. Thanks
