Yeah, you should not have any regrets about this, he made what he was looking for pretty clear. A guy who is looking to build a relationship is not going to say that.

Edit: I will also edit this to say I’ve experienced this more than a dozen times in my online dating history, specifically the morning wood comment or sometimes even a photo. This guy is not unique, this is a common move to test you and see if you will sext with him.

Yes, and I have never regretted it. There were times dismissed it and tried to just continue the conversation, but it becomes clear what they're looking for so in the end, all I did was waste a bit more time.

It really depends for me. Casual mentions of sexual stuff here and there doesn't really bother me even early on. But if he's going on and on about his sexual interests, brings up kinks, goes full on sexting, asks me if I'm only looking for LTR, etc, that's definitely a red flag to me and I won't be chatting with him the next day, or ever again.

Like, it's one thing to talk about sexual things to figure out if you're compatible or not in that department, but if he starts asking me about my body part sizes, asks for nudes, sends dickpics, etc, that definitely puts me off. It's just way too early for that kinda stuff.

Sounds like he said it in a nonchalant humorous way that was relatively harmless and not really sexual. Ignoring it while keeping the conversation alive would have been the better move. The cold, delayed response was a complete buzzkill.

It sounds like he unmatched you rather than the other way around. That could be why it sticks in your craw a bit. Probably preemptive on his part.

That said, men think about sex a lot and if you unmatched everybody who makes a random oral oblique reference to sex, even one that isn’t particularly awkward or disgusting, you’re going to severely limit your options.
