I’m throwing this question out to the guys who are out there dating or thinking about getting back into it. I always see the same issue pop up in this sub: the post–first date phase. Stuff like, “We had a great first date but then she ghosted,” or “She was cool at first but turned cold after,” or “I don’t know what to do after the first date.”

So how important is that second date for you guys? And what’s the goal behind it?
Are you trying to build more attraction, create more trust, or move things toward sex?

This question came to me last night after I got back from a first date (had quite a few this year, not gonna lie). I started thinking — if we already did a good job on the first one, why do we keep “working” to win these girls over with a second, third, etc.? Shouldn’t it just flow more naturally?

Just curious to hear everyone’s take on it — I know there’s no one-size-fits-all rule here.
