Direct was heavily promoted during the hayday of pick up because indirect required too much skill and if a coach was to teach indirect, there would not be enough results and would require too much time to teach someone how to do when applied to the general population of males.

Indirect is superior in every sense because you can decide to go direct at any moment if you can manage to learn it.

Direct is a conditional approach. Indirect is the framework.

The reason is that in practice, what you say doesn't matter the woman pretty much already knows because dating is all about the subtext.

The moment you talk to a girl, she already knows you are interested in her because of your vibe. Indirect allows you to use words to disengage her guards while maintaining the direct energy.

Direct is so simple that it just works for most people. And for certain settings, it just makes no sense to go indirect so direct should be used.

i've experimented with both so much, and I think it's irrelevant.

She either thinks you're hot or she doesn't lol. both work well if you're her type. Both will result in you going home alone if you're NOT her type and she's not attracted to you

I think there’s a difference depending on the type of girls you’re going for. If you’re looking for casual sex or a situational thing, then being direct might work better. But if you’re aiming for a long-term, serious relationship, it’s important for women to feel that you’re interested in them as a person, not just as a sexual object.

You need both to be effective.

Learn direct first if you're lacking confidence or dominance.

Learn indirect first if you're lacking social calibration or are operating in environments that are less risk-tolerant.

Let's put it like this : 1. Direct game: almost 3 years with no results, still a virgin . 2. Indirect game: 17 lays since April of 2025. All from daygame. I am not counting girls I have kissed, fingered and so on. I used to listen to the myth that both are the same, or that direct is superior but for me the proof is in the pudding . Most people just don't know how o use indirect properly . When you do, you will see that there's no comparison. Proper indirect game starts before the opener.

You have to be direct about the right things and indirect about the right things

Dont, for example invite a woman out where she assumes its a friend thing and act and tell her you are her friend when the entire time your intentions was to date her or sleep with her.

That always pisses us off as women

You need both, they are equally important. Indirect side will tell you if she is interested or not, flirting indirectly is also much more effective. Direct side is there just for you to make the first move. Communicating directly doesnt mean that you will confess to her though, direct communication of your feelings towards her can destroy attraction pretty quick, unless you are already in a relationship. Use your direct communication only to establish the connection in the early stage. A girl could like you like hell, even obsessing over you, but if you dont talk to her at all, you will loose her and that would be your fault not hers (it is very rare for a girl to initiate first). You need to have a balance, knowing what you can say and how to behave.
