I just posted a reply to someone in here and it got me thinking about this subject. I think it might actually be the key to the whole neediness issue. A lot of guys on here, including myself, talk about filling up time with other shit you like doing, so you actually have a life and aren't over-available but I've never really put it in the terms that I did today before and it really clicked for me. It's not just about the quantity but the quality of those other experiences in your life.

You're in the market for good feelings. Women make you feel good. If women are the only thing in your life that make you feel as good as women make you feel, then you are at a disadvantage. It makes you needy and desperate. If you have other things in your life that you value as much or more than women, then it's easy to drop one individual woman if she isn't right for you. You can occupy yourself with the other things in your life that make you feel good until you find a woman who is what you're looking for. It's supply and demand.

I'd love to hear your examples. For me, I'd say it's hiking and exploring innature, then art like doing various aesthetic projects (including technical stuff). Also my self-development, depending on whether I'm on my game or not. It used to be philosophy, math and more academic stuff but I haven't had the mental energy for it lately.
