Went out with a girl from Mexico recently. On the first date, I asked what she thought about splitting and she said that where she’s from, if a guy invites her out, he usually pays. I ended up covering it.

Now we’re going out a second time to an arcade bar. I’m not really keen on paying for everything again, especially since drinks + games can add up.

Should I text her beforehand and say I’d like to split this time, or is it better to just deal with it naturally when we’re there? Curious how others would handle this without making it awkward.
