I don’t see anything “in spite of feminism” here. Feminism has nothing against marriages and monogamy. I have no idea where you were and how it compares to US, but i think many people get married, like overwhelming majority, so probably not that different? And also depends on a place in Europe. Some cities are pretty liberal, some are way more traditional still.

Feminism has little to do with it, it can be argued European countries are actually much more liberal and feminist than the US and North America.

A lot of people see europe as much more lax and less traditional than the US even tho the US is western and feminist to a degree.

However it can be argued women in europe are much more open and casual about sex and love and relationships because of how feminist the European countries are which make women be less trad in their approach about love, the US is really still stuck in a loop of idealising the 50s.

I’ve dated in North America and Western Europe. I find European dating culture WAY less toxic and problematic. There is no “6/6/6” culture (although Northern Europeans tend to be height queens), everyone is poorer and more egalitarian so the man isn’t expected to pay for everything, and dating tends to move to exclusive VERY quickly. Often after just a couple of dates.

(Personally, after one good date with a follow-up planned I generally back out of any other dates I have lined up)

Well, as a Nordic European let's say videos I see about typical American dynamics in relationship and marriage, it seems quite terrible deal for women. Especially when there is pregnancy and baby in picture.

In here women are not sacrificing their career and income for motherhood. Husbands and fathers are not "helping" but being full partners in household and parenting. Usually women are home with baby first 6 months or so and then go back to work while father is at home with baby next half of the year. You can see a lot of fathers outside spending time with their babies and toddlers.

Same goes for chores at home. Men are expected to do their half of cooking and cleaning, if they don't they'd be labeled total losers. Also financial responsibilities are shared, we don't basically have SAHM-culture at all in here. Women typically would never want to be financially dependent of men.

So I would say BECAUSE of feminism, relationships and marriage are better in here and I don't see reason why women wouldn't be interested in dating.

Reminds me of women complaining that men don’t open doors or pay bills but they have been perpetuating feminism for decades.

But in terms of marriage specifically, it might just be culturally still bigger in those countries even if the women themselves are secularized/modernized. Thats a completely different thing than not being interested in men at all, and the only people I see doing that are radical feminists or those who have been hurt by relationships.
