I went for coffee with this hinge date.

I would love to find someone for long term but I have no reason not to enjoy short term flings too.

She was looking for something long term.

We had a conversation about what was important for us from a long term perspective and we disagreed completely about everything.

She believed sex has to happen after emotional connection is established and I disagreed, cause sex is a way to establish connection.

She wanted a provider that carries the weight of the family on his shoulder while the woman has to work only if she wants and a job she likes.

I said I liked independent women, who contribute to the family and everything else and I would consider unfair anything else.

The conversation went on and on and at some point I said "we're not compatible long term".

She said she agreed but at the same time she wanted to know if I would see her again. I stated really clearly we are not compatible for long term but I would see her for a short term arrangement.

She said, no point seeing each other for short term but she wished I change my mind about my long term views.

I said I wasn't going to change my mind and that the only possibility for it to happen would be she changing her mind, that was my boundary. She hesitated but said no, she wouldn't change her mind but she said this situation was so sad.

So we went home and when we said goodbye she looked at me with begging eyes saying it was really sad. I repeated I would see her again but without any long term intentions. She said there was no point but it was really sad.

I wished her good luck and went away.

Should have I kissed her instead of saying goodbye?
