For the longest time, I’ve always been nervous about making women uncomfortable. I’ve approached women in the past, but was still nervous about offending or making them upset.

Reasoning? I’m a pretty shy guy, and I don’t want any complications.

I’m very blessed with the fact that I’m very attractive as I’ve never had issues getting girls.

My main issue is my confidence. I don’t want to get rejected so I don’t even try.

And I settle for ‘easy’ wins as I tend to date ‘down’. Pretty much settling with someone who is ‘ok’ in my eyes, but no one that really ‘wow’s’ me.

And I’m finally changing this. I don’t want this for myself anymore.

Finally though, a week ago, I forced myself out of my comfort zone, talked to a girl, got her number. Did she reply? No, but it’s still a win in my book.

I felt pretty good.

2 nights ago, I was out with some guy and girlfriends. One of my other friends that is pretty shy, had one of our gf’s wingman for him, and he was hitting it off.

One of her friends comes out, and I think she’s really cute. Thinking she’s out of my league, no way, she’d say no, ew, etc. all that negative bs.

But my friends pushed and pushed, and I walked up to her and had an amazing conversation. Flirting a bunch as well.

At the end, I got her number too. Did she respond?

No, an honestly? I’m okay, I survived, I didn’t die, nothing bad happened.

I still grew some balls and stepped into who I wanted to be.

Now I’m on cloud nine. I feel like approaching women, which sadly I’ve avoided for a few years. I’m finally realizing that I can do it.

Last night, I was out in the city with some friends as well, and my female friend brought out her friend, and it felt so much easier.

I was nervous, but after some encouragement, I went for it, and talked all night with her, with tons of flirting.

Did it go anywhere? Sadly no, she thought I was hot from what my friend told me, she just didn’t want whatever we had to crash and burn and affect the friendships we have together.

But you know what? The reason why doesn’t matter.

I’m perfectly content that I’m trying, and whatever is meant to be will be.

I’m making improvements each attempt, successful or not.

I’m doing better, I won’t ever be afraid of rejection again.
