I'm a 23-year-old guy, and I often find myself in situations where I have repeated eye contact with women around my age or older in places like trains, buses, or other public settings.

My biggest problem is that I don't know what to do next. I don't want to be creepy or make anyone uncomfortable, but I also don't want to miss an opportunity if the interest is mutual.

When I make eye contact, I usually become unsure of what it means. Because of that, my face goes completely neutral—almost like a statue. I don't naturally smile or give any expression because I'm busy wondering whether she's just looking around, looking back because I looked first, or actually interested.

My questions are:

- How do you tell the difference between normal eye contact and genuine interest?

- If I'm interested, what's the most subtle and respectful way to signal it and take the game forward ( any seduction)

- Should I smile, hold eye contact a little longer, nod, or just look away?

- What facial expression comes across as confident and friendly rather than awkward or intense?

- At what point, if ever, is it appropriate to start a conversation in a public place?

I'd especially like advice from people who are good at reading social cues. I'm not looking for tricks or pickup lines—I just want to understand how to handle these situations confidently while making sure the other person feels comfortable and respected.
