Girls in Western cultures work like this. What words come out of her mouth don't mean anything, that she said that was just a way of greeting and starting/continuing conversation. Of course she doesn't care that you were driving slow. In another culture she'd say "Hey, you've made it, come in and have some tea."

In Western cultures being nice/friendly has been deemed unattractive because they are feminized cultures. If she was you she'd be unattracted to the guy welcoming her, but attracted to the guy jokingly saying "hey what took you so long?", so she'll emulate that, not knowing better because nobody taught her.

I do my own cooking, most of my housework, cleaning, and drive safely.

Because I want it done properly, not half assed. Any woman who is doing it for me (be it for pay or any other benefit she gets from me) will not do the job as well as I would do it. And we know how women usually drive. There are women who drive well, but we don't notice them. The terrible drives that we do notice though - 99% women.

Half assing anything is "unmanly". Doing it properly and high quality is manly - even if its ironing shirts.

My comeback is always "because I want it done once, and want it done properly".

I have noticed that some girls/women, not just dates and gfs but including even family and friends of friends, give me shit everytime I do something they deem "unmanly".

But driving back from new year's eve, when we arrived at destination the girl (a friend's gf) who was driving in the other car quipped something like "Oh finally you're there. What took so long, I thought you guys'd never come". Thing is, I drove as fast as I could within speeding limits. She did admit she sped up out of some sense of competition, and I just wasn't stupid enough to risk speeding up while hungover and tired on country roads.

Cooking I straight out tell girls they will never cook as good as I do, but they can wash up after me
Driving I normally get told I drive too fast anyway, my car is very powerful so with little effort it accelerates quite hard, I never ever speed, but I will put cruse control on, and go around roundabouts and corers way faster than a girl ever could with out smashing into a pole/tree

Just don't reply. If they repeat their remark, say simply: "I heard you the first time. But it wasn't worth my while replying".

If the person gets rude or offended at that point, again don't reply. If they accuse you of being rude, point out that they were rude, you were simply taking the high road and not responding in kind. They, not you, should apologise.

Ideally, your silence will say all that's necessary. You're treating them as you would an animal that makes an irritating but fleeting noise, to which no response is necessary.

If they force you to get into the explanations above, remain polite but firm and neutral, without being patronising: like a kindergarten teacher explaining good manners to a particularly dim pre-school child.

In this specific instance, you could always add that driving competitively and dangerously on public roads is essentially allowing other people to make your decisions about risk for you. Only a weak or immature person does that. But it has to be delivered entirely neutrally, as if you don't care about their opinion, which you shouldn't.

A bunch of people hanging out, maybe there are some chicks who are on the fence about you, and then one of the chicks tests your mettle. It's hard to come up with a good response in the heat of the moment, so the best thing is to do, if you can't think of a good way to A&A, is to say nothing. Look at the chick and smile like you're about to raid the henhouse. Scan her head to toe, slowly. In a situation like that someone will jump in anyways (people are always looking for a chance to talk, the way nature abhors a vacuum), and it's a good chance to see what other people think of you.

Part of being a man is taking your lumps. Next time it will likely be someone else getting their balls busted. If it's always you, then you need to get new friends and take a long hard look in the mirror.

And never, NEVER let anyone stop you from cooking.
