Let me tell you, Hentai is equally bad if not worse!!! I say it as a former-user (long ago in a very different time of my life), and it’s really misinformed to think it’s ok because it’s more detached from reality and no real women. Because it’s cartoon they can display insanely warped bodies and anything that is too f-cked up to be done in real life. Women can often be portrayed as prepubescent little girls or with extreme assets or morphs and the sexual acts usual involve being harassed, molested, tortured and r-ped by creeps, monsters, etc. And there are so many f-cked up sexual acts and fetishes that exist only in hentai. It’s not just “cute innocent anime girls”, that’s a disguise for how much it is actually disgusting and perverted. Be worried and run for the hills!!!

The harm of pornography has many facets: harm to the people who participated in the film, harm to the psyche and sexuality of people consuming that porn, and harm to the class of people (usually women) objectified by the content.
Even if you take out the first aspect (drawings means that no real people were harmed in the making of hentai), you still have the other two aspects (negative effect on the sexuality and psyche of the dude consuming it, and negative effect on his view of women as a whole).
A man who objectifies women for his sexual consumption is already functioning in illness, and not apt to be a good lover. Sex should be discovered and “created” with the partner, in a moment of intimacy, mutual exchange, and tenderness (all the way to potential euphoria of course). When men consume any type of porn, they’re discovering and “creating” their ideas and expectations of sex with the porn (or hentai or fantasy or whatever it is), and the partner does not even exist in that context. He is not taking you, your feelings, your thoughts, your needs, your sensations, your pleasure, your anything into account. You’re not there at all. Then he comes to you and tries to “apply” this version of sex he already created on you. It leaves you feeling used and disregarded. You’re not there to be your own human person, complete with your own thoughts and feelings. You’re there as a meat puppet to serve a story that’s already going on in his head.
Objectification always leads to, at the very least, bad sex, and at worst, abuse.

You should re-read the handbook because you're very naive and clearly still a pickme if you think it's ok. Porn is a red flag, doesn't matter which kind. Hentai is even more twisted than "regular" porn. It's definitely not harmless. The female characters look and often sound like children with unrealistic female bodies (impossibly huge breasts and tiny waist) and the sort of things that are done to them is absolutely gross and more akin to torture than actual sex.
