As a disclaimer, I've been on the red pill subs for 2 or 3 years now, so I'm no stranger to it. RPW has been integrated into my daily life due to my proclivity for submissiveness. For MBTI believers, I'm an INTP while my boyfriend is ESFP (interesting combo, I know).
To start off, my boyfriend is a very warm-hearted man. The biggest reason why I got with him was because he was nice to me and treated me well. And when I first met him, I asked him what his ultimate goal was in life. He responded with, "To provide for my family"; it was literally because of that sentence that I allowed myself to be pursued by him.
Throughout the months, we had minor discourse. His high EQ combined with my affinity for rationale led to a peaceful relationship. Of course, the whole time, I was his submissive and he was my dominant. We actually engage in 24/7 BDSM; now BDSM is not the same as red pill, so yes, I always made sure to follow RPW ideals as closely as possible. No other person has brought me as much happiness in my life as he has.
Now, I will admit, I've made a major sacrifice to be with this guy. I am obsessed with intelligence, so much so that high intelligence is the most important quality in a guy to me. I used to claim that I wouldn't date a guy who wasn't smarter than me. My boyfriend, while smarter than the average Joe, is nowhere near as intelligent as me (so much for my claim, huh?). The issue here is that I've always been unable to have the profound, analytical conversations that I've always loved with him. I always felt as though we've been unable to connect because of it, and it has brought some discord in our relationship. But I'm actively trying to work through this issue by finding intellectual stimulation through other avenues. I think it's working.
But, the true problem that lies here is his motivation and work-ethic towards a future. He claims he wants a traditional marriage, but he is going on on his fifth year of community college next year. When I met him, he was kicked out of university due having terrible grades due to depression. He says he wants to take an extra year at community college to boost his GPA (it's like a 2.8-2.9 right now), but he's taking a minimal amount of units and receiving mediocre grades (a 3.4 was his highest last semester). He wants to be a physical therapist, and the earliest he can finish schooling for this at is 29.
On top of that he is completely unconcerned with money. He has no idea how much student debt he has right now, and he is completely okay with putting himself hundreds of thousands of dollars into debt for a fancy university. When he finally found a temporary job for the summer in August, he'd blow his paychecks 2-3 days after receiving them.
Now, the main reason this concerns me is because I want children; we both want children. Of course, I brought up these issues like a red pill women would. Gently, not bringing him the solution, and never nagging. He was unresponsive. Through the months, I had to become more and more aggressive due to his lack of response, and it finally all came crashing down tonight. He told me that he is looking out for himself, and that he's not going to change the pace of his schooling. He also says he wants to be happy, so he will not budge on trying to go to a cheaper, local school if he gets into one that he prefers. The only thing he is willing to change is his lackadaisical nurture towards money.
The main reason I'm concerned is because I have a biological clock. I don't want children if he's not financially stable until he's almost 40. I have a biological clock, and I'm not planning on trying for kids after the age of 37 at most. I've studied red pill for years; I literally could not present the information in a better manner. He knows all of this and all of my concerns. He says he won't change because these are things he must do for himself.
I have built my life around having the white-picket family by 35. I am going into a flexible career path so that I have time for children and a family, and I'm going to commute an hour each way to a cheaper university to significantly cut down costs. I've been kicked out of college due to depression once too, but I took 25 units by attending to different schools to fix my academic record in one semester. I receive straight A's, I'm developing all of my wife/mother skills, and of course give him enthusiastic sex 3x a day every time I see him (though that really isn't hard). I'll be financially stable by 25. I told my boyfriend that I'd be willing to give up the future I envisioned for myself for him, but he knows I'm unhappy saying that, and says it isn't right. We both don't want me to wear the pants in the relationship and for him to be they stay-at-home-dad. I ideally wanted to be a SAHM while the children were toddlers, but I know that's out of the question now.
Is there any way to salvage this relationship? My boyfriend said last night that it seems as though we shouldn't be together, but is there anything I can do to change my own viewpoint somehow? I want to do everything I can possibly. I really want this to work out, as this is the first guy who's ever really truly loved me. I really need advice on my situation. Like, I'm begging you guys for it. I can't leave him. I don't want to. Also, I'm sorry for the sloppy writing; I've been bawling my eyes out for hours. Also, there's one more reason why leaving him is going to almost guarantee me being unhappy forever; it's kink-related, but I'd go into it if inquired about it.
Tl;dr: My boyfriend wont be financially stable until our late 30's, is unwilling to change this course, and we want a traditional marriage and family. Is there any way to salvage this?
