First let's get some things straight:

If you were a decent enough guy to be my room mate, and, had physical issues that required me to empty your soiled potty chair regularly; I would do it. I am not a unicorn and I won't even offer you starfish sex(lol), but I take care of things as I see them. I see nothing more with your friends wife than her being a decent human being. Unicorn? Laugh my ass off.

If you were paying most of the rent and you had a cancer scare, I would take care of you as I could, roomy. Just because I am a decent human being. Oh, and I would be worried about how the rent would get paid.

If I wasn't worried about making the rent, and you had a surgery that went complex, but you were in the hospital being taken care of by others, and , I was in the middle of finishing my degree and had little time. I probably would not visit you that much, roomy. And I still would not be interested in having sex with you.

Does that put all this unicorn bullshit in context for you?

My wife fucks me five out of seven nights. She cooks me what I want for dinner. She has gotten into the gym habit with me. She has changed her diet to keep up with me. She puts on makeup and dresses up nice when we are just staying at home so she "can look pretty for me" (her own words). When I say we're going somewhere, she gets ready. When I say im ready to go home, she tells her friends she's the one whose tired. My wife is a perfect lady in the streets and a kinky ass freak in the sheets.

And yet, I would never consider her to be a unicorn.

She doesn't always get to everything she promised. Sometimes she misunderstands what I'm committing myself to. Sometimes she has a rough day and takes it out on me when she gets home. And every month she still has her period. Even after dealing with that every month since she was a child, she still doesn't know how to differentiate between her real feelz and her pms feels.

A lady doesn't have to be a unicorn to be a good woman. Inversely, being a good woman doesn't make one a unicorn. A unicorn is something beyond just being a good specimen of your native species. It involves exceeding expectations so astoundingly that it shifts your existence into an entirely different definition and classification. As might only happen if you grew a horn out of your forehead.

My advice to you: When you hear hooves, think horses, not unicorns. And if you hear hooves that sound different, think zebras, not unicorns.

Because it's never unicorns. They don't exist.

A friend of mine was paralyzed from around mid-chest down 3 years ago and to see how his wife has stood by him is amazing. He just went through another surgery recently and she has been cleaning an open wound for a long time. She's been through a lot and it's impressive how much she can endure in that situation.

I thought my partner was a unicorn after reading here at first, and still somewhat do, but I tried some new stuff anyway, just small lifting and marriage flirting, and it just made things better. More exciting.

I believe my SO is loyal but that doesn't make day to day life very exciting. I need some BAM to get through the drudgery of things and red pill helps that even if we think our partners are basically good people. Imo. Well, as good as we oblige them to be, in any case.

Here's my opinion as a described unicorn who has earned the title through years of supporting a Beta husband and encouraging him while he cheated and acted the fool until it finally paid off.

NO. We are not Unicorns. On a good day, I believe my upbringing (single father/only child, literally the ideal Captain/First Mate interaction) is to blame. On a medium day, I believe it has something to do with the fact that I was 18 when I agreed to marry DH and a failure in our marriage is a fundamental failure of me as a person, as being his wife is such a large part of my identity. On the worst of days, I know the truth:

The truth is, if you had absolutely no chance of improving, she would leave, just like every other woman. I think some women are, perhaps, more acutely attuned to the risk of partner trade-ups, and are realistic when comparing our husbands with all his faults with the shiny exterior of an unknown. In reality, the only thing that makes me a "unicorn" (according to him) is my husband's devotion to TRP, self-improvement, and our joint success.

That's incredibly hard to admit.
