They're keeping the appearance of a great home and married life while simultaneously living another. Through lots of dating, I've found the type A women to be the ones who are never satisfied. Always searching. Always looking. More, more, more. Contentment is not a word in their lexicon.

The part that I find so interesting is not that it's happening, or the double life. But the fact that they openly like all the angles. It's one thing to do something on the side but actually keep pushing through with the beta and kids is fucking insane to me. Why not just fuck off? Seems like a lot of wasted time to me. Maybe you just don't 'get' social media. People project on social media. They put up the life they want, sometimes the life they really had, but not the entire life. People don't put up their piece-on-the-side's picture too, unless they're in an out poly relationship, and that's not what you're talking about here.

I don't see the contradiction. I don't find it surprising that the women you discuss want to 'have it all'. The provider husband and kids, AND the hot boyfriend that shags them senseless, and a bunch of likes on instagram and facebook. The common theme in all of it is validation for her.

It's a mini-trend, and is more common among highly-powered, highly attractive women between, say 30 and 45. That's not a huge group, by the way, in total, but it is a mini-trend among that group. I'd say it's a small step in the further direction of marriages becoming more open in general on the woman's side of things, as we continue to progress towards greater levels of sexual libertinism.

*These women are CC Riders and Alpha widows. They likely have been CC Riders all their lives. Their experience tells them that the Alpha tingles and fucks just cannot be beat. Their experience also tells them that by his very nature and options, they won't be able to lock down the Alpha. They want the Alpha fucks, they can have the Alpha fucks without consequence. I agree with it largely being about appearances. My SO and I have a running joke that whenever we see a couple start doing the "I love you" and "I love you more" shit on Facebook out of nowhere that they're headed to breaking up/divorce/the woman cheating/etc because it's happened so often.

Somewhat related, but while I'm commenting, the Type A/Type B personality thing is a myth. It was created as a marketing tactic by big tobacco. Fun stuff if you want to read about it.

It definitely seems like a social reaction to the void of attractive men. Society needs Alphas to move forward and if guys don't step up, apparently the women will. When a queen bee dies, the worker bees will create a new queen bee by overloading larvae with royal jelly. Voids in nature are always filled.

As for the cheating, I have heard of studies that say men and women cheat the same, 50/50. That never really seemed accurate to me. As far as I can tell, cheating is more common when there is opportunity. There are a lot of unattractive guys out there so I don't know how many opportunities to cheat they actually have. I am not saying they can't find a willing partner on occasion, but they aren't exactly George Clooney. Women on the other hand, don't really need to be all that attractive to hook up, because they control the sexual access. They just need to send out the vibe that they want some fun on the side and there will be a line of attractive guys to fill that hole (pun intended). Now, these hot guys would never commit to them, but they will be more than happy to blow their load a few times and then find a more beautiful girl. So I think women just have more opportunity to cheat, so it is probably more common with them. For social reasons, it makes sense that it goes under-reported. Also, women can hamster the cheating away pretty easily. So this has likely been going on forever, just a little more transparent these days. At least that's my read of the cheating.

I am not saying all women will cheat, but all of them are capable of it under the right circumstances. Becoming hotter and wealthier can help to reduce it but the risk is always there. If Clooney sees your girl in his hotel lobby and nobody would find out, she might/probably go up to his room.

It might be a trend you're noticing, I don't know. I don't think this is prevalent now; but I think there might be a small percentage of women doing this.

When it does go on, it's because the husband is oblivious (beta bitchboy) or doesn't care (alpha).

Most of the time when a woman cheats on a man, she is deeply unhappy in the marriage. I had previously thought that wife sexual cheating was exclusively because the wife was just completely done with the marriage and was checked out, and was auditioning potential new husbands. She's looking for a replacement husband.

I don't think that's always the case anymore, after spending some time on Reddit and other subreddits.

I think that many times women are cheating because they're unhappy emotionally or sexually, and the affair partner (AP) gives them something they need. From reading on REddit it looks like a lot of these women are married to men who can't or don't want to fuck anymore, so the AP gives them sex.

A lot of these women are married to "emotionally stunted" men, men with mental or emotional issues, workaholics, or whatever else. These adulteresses (say they) get emotional intimacy from their APs.

I do think that there will be in the future an uptick in open poly marriages where a woman has a beta husband and an alpha boyfriend. The difference from now would be that it's all out in the open; where the wife says to her beta husband "I want to stay married to you so we can raise the kids; but I want to fuck other men, so I am going to do that when I want. I'll still fuck you sometimes; but I want to fuck other men. And you should be OK with that because if you're not, I'll divorce rape you and you'll never see your kid(s) again."

Maybe what's going on now is women sneaking around doing this and seeing if they like it and can manage the lifestyle.
