No. Sharing with your wife is a cry for validation from her, imo. You're doing this yourself, and for yourself. It'll take a while to internalise that, but it's important that you do.

Didn't. Won't. Probably for at least another six months to a year. Will not do any good, it will raise all kinds of unnecessary questions and doubts. It's like inviting your guests in your kitchen two hours before the meal is served so they can see all the ingredients on the table and you frantically working on it to put a nice dinner together. Would they appreciate everything they see, a messy kitchen and chef focused on his work as opposed to entertaining and pleasant conversation?

A lot of threads on this topic here over the last few months. The general consensus is that, as much as Glover hit the nail with everything else, that recommendation to share is still a little blue pill. My advice keep it quiet and just work on your self for your own reasons. No need to make a big production over it with the Mrs. Might work in some cases but not necessarily all.

My wife read NMMNG, MAP and MMSL. I didn't encourage it but she saw me reading them, saw the changes, and decided "What are you up to." Next thing I know she had ordered them on her Kindle and was saying things like: "Does an Alpha lose his temper like that?" Or my favorite- "My color is RED all day."

So I DO NOT recommend following Glover's advice and showing wife these books.

However, as for NMMNG, he recommends the SO reading the book and I think that is not terrrible. All he talks about are covert contracts and the nice guy who isn't really nice. Nothing on sexual attraction or the foibles of women or even seduction so it probably won't do any harm. Probably won't do any good either.

TLDR: Unless your wife NEEDS to read NMMNG (i.e. if SHE is a nice guy trying to please everybody and acting like a bitch while holding continual covert contracts in her head) then don't do it.

I didn't, I'm not going to, and I think it's fair to say the majority opinion will be that it's more likely to hurt your goals than forward them.

This sentiment in NMMNG about sharing with your wife confused the hell out of me when I read it, as it flies in the face of a fundimental part of RP:

Don't talk about what you're going to do. Do it.

For me, I have found that the less I profess and the less explanation I offer, the better my actions are generally received.

I have also found that IDGAF, because I am working on me. If my wife likes what she sees, if people I work and otherwise interact with react to it, that's fine.

It's important to understand that it's OK to be "selfish" and take positive action steps for your own benefit, without looking for or expecting validation from the woman or anybody else.

The book makes great points and earns its place on the sidebar, but it misses the mark on this sharing point in a big way, IMO.

tl;dr: I vote no sharing of RP material with the wife/SO.

When I was still unplugging she wanted to know what I'm reading. I told her. She was like, so now you're gonna be an asshole? I don't want to be with an asshole. I told her it's not like that, it's just a self-improvement book. She then downloaded an audiobook preview of it and listened to the 1st chapter only. Then she dropped the topic.

If your goal is to save your marriage, no, never share. She does not want to see a weak man "cheating" to appear to be better which is what she will see.

If your goal is to make yourself stronger and find a better relationship, sure. One of two things will happen. 1) she will shame you for your past and efforts at which case you must end it with her. 2) she will get on board and learn to respect you.

Over at the nmmng forums, many many men fall into the #1, and almost zero fall into #2, but I guess it's possible. It's really not, every time she wants to call you can asshole, it's the books fault. You will always be the pathetic shit in her eyes. That is because once a woman has lost trust in her man, and seen the weakness in him she will never trust him again. That is the hard truth about it.

Women want naturals, they do not some bitch who learned how to pretend from a book. This is another huge reason never to speak of RP at all.

Back to the question, sometimes it is better to give that viking funeral to a dead relationship and move forward in life so that you can build a stronger relationship with other women in the future. Sharing the book will help you with that. I believe that was Dr. Glovers intention.
