Reading List

I've already been thru NMMNG, WISNIFG, MMSLP and MAP.

I am a couple pages away from finishing The Rational Male. I'm now disgusted, disillusioned and depressed.

Has anyone else gotten to that point of the trip, and can you advise something more upbeat from the sidebar before I ingest and internalize more Rollo?

Thanks in advance.

The Book of Pook. Awesome read. Also The Way of the Superior Man.

Part of the process faggot.

Takes a lot to deprogram you from all the blue pill brainwashing.

He deserves to be disgusted, disillusioned, and depressed.

After all, he is disgusting.

In terms of upbeat I like to recommend Snow White, Peter Pan, and Cinderella.

The Little Red Engine That Could, too.

Anything by Mr. Rogers.

I've always been a bigger fan of Beauty and the Beast myself. That way the girl gets to save the guy and really gets my mangina wet. Peace.

Yes. It's called the gym. Work out your anger and depression there.

And when you realize that it's yourself that you should be angry at, I've always preached the benefits of a glass of hot tea.

Why be angry at the scorpion when it is just its nature.

You say anger 3 times and I never said it once. But i get your point. I learned some things fro those other books. This one seemed more like someone reminding me of things I already knew when I was a younger man and had decided to drunkenly ignore. Currently I can't hear a song on the radio, see a tv show or movie or hear a conversation at work without thinking " Fuck me... there it is again!" I'm staring at my wife autisticlly when she's talking to me. Your not wrong about the gym, and in going to find something to read that snaps me back to having some fun with the wife. But this book got all on top of me. Guess I didn't miss the point of it.

Go lift, you will be amazed how much it helps

Read it again.

I don't really get why it's depressing for some guys. RM1 is like getting the real rule book for the first time.

The exhilaration of 'aaaaah...this makes sense!' was much more overwhelming to me than the disappointment of finding out that unicorns aren't real.

How far you've allowed that pendulum to swing into beta determines how mad that book will make you

I got that same rush off the RM books especially the last one "Positive Masculinity".

That's what it must have felt like to read a mimeographed copy of Gulag Archipelago in 1960s USSR.

I can’t tell if you’ve hit the anger phase yet but once your through that and reach acceptance it gets good. You now have a cheat code, and the best part is that it’s not even really cheating, you’re just unlocking the real man you’ve kept suppressed all your life. You now can see what you’re capable of. Life is about to get badass.

Try I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell by Tucker Max. Don’t believe its on the sidebar but might be a good break for you for a good laugh.

5 ropers.... haha. Forgot about this guy. I read that years ago. Thanks for that.

The Rational Male did that to me, too. The good news: You're almost there . . . the last stage is acceptance.

Saving a Low Sex Marriage is more upbeat.

Welcome to your new reality. It does get better once the pill stays down and you accept that the Disney dream does not exhist.

Don't dwell too much on the lies you were fed, spend time on how you deal with it.

The Obstacle is the Way...good read a little more stoic but def a filler

People are saying "anger" even though that wasn't your wording because what you're describing is commonly referred to as the anger phase. I'm about 5 months in, and I'm still feeling it in a big way. So far the best remedies I've found are lifting (channel those feelings into motivation in the gym), outcome independence (just know that knowing what you now know is making you a better man with or without her) and just recognizing that you now have the cheat codes... to all women, not just your wife or LTR since AWALT. I've also found myself laughing at certain shitty behaviours from my wife as I'm recognizing them for what they are - shit tests devised by her reptile brain to make sure I'm still fuckable.

The rational male is my favorite. I actually read that first, twice, then NMMNG and MMSLP.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
