Out of curiosity: How many of you guys are Christians?

Is the man being head of a household a christian idea, or is it in the bible because it's the best way to keep a family together?

You know why the Jewish and Muslim texts have provisions against eating pork and shellfish specifically? Because unless you thoroughly cook them (difficult to do with the technology of the time), these two foodstuffs are the most likely to harbour harmful bacteria and viruses. Not eating them unless you could be sure that they weren't going to kill you (and you couldn't tell until after you'd eaten it, which is a bad time to find out it was something deadly) was just a good idea, and so the holy texts incorporated these. In fact, the fact that they're considered "unclean" is closer to "it's hard to sterilise them properly" than "god said so".

I therefore submit that a lot of the advice given in the bible, the torah, the qu'ran, heck, probably the aztec religion too, was simply things that worked in everyday life (like not killing or stealing), and they were included to formally codify them and encourage others to do them.

I was Christian at one time, now I am not. Some things the bible has wrong and others it's spot on. Same thing with the Quran. Both of them have heavily patriarchal societies they talk about, just as the idea of RP is to be your own man.

TRP and Christianity have similar values on somethings, but I think it just a coincidence. Most mediums of men throughout the world don't want their wife to be a slut for anyone but them.

I am. I'm a hardcore traditional-minded Catholic. I even go to a church that does everything in Latin except the sermons.

I am never-married, vol-cel, I don't fornicate even when in a relationship, and after the last one blew up in my face I've been MGTOW-minded and do not plan on having another.

But I do have opportunities to use rp tactics on other people in my life. Not texting too much, refusing to listen to a woman (platonic friend) complain about her boyfriend, and so on.

As far as AWALT is concerned, returning to the subject of my exgf, when I initially decided to get into that relationship, it was partly because even though she had been married twice previously - I am shuddering in rp horror and regret as I type this - and had a kid from each, she apparently had some sort of religious conversion and rededicated her life to Christ, and I counted that as repentance, and decided not to hold her previous life against her.

I don't want to get into too much detail, but ... AWALT. In my then-bluepillitude - or psychocyanosis, to coin a term - I made all the mistakes ranging from catering to her emotional neediness, to not standing my ground and resisting her shittests, to giving her hamster the benefit of the doubt.

Mormon here. I'm pretty sure most RP guys wouldn't identify as religious, but that's OK.

There's a small but tight contingent of Christian men in the sphere that have blogs; some are more neoreaction/DE focused, others more focused on RP stuff, etc.

If anyone's interested:

Dalrock --- dalrock is probably the most sane of us. Guy puts in more grunt work for sure, in that about half his posts are findings from his research on census data. Some version of Protestant. Dalrock has done a lot of good actually in pointing out several assumptions our society is based on (one I like a lot is that one of the modern reasons for child support is that it keeps the husband in line within marriage --- because there's a big "or else" on the other side of divorce).
Donal Graeme --- an early-30's (I think?) Catholic dude who writes on RP stuff. He came up with the PSALM (Power, Status, Athleticism, Looks, Money) acronym, which is kind of cool
Free Northerner --- I love this guy. He's like my angrier yet still rational self. Has some good catharsis material.
Martel --- haven't read much of his stuff, but good guy
Cane Caldo --- a must-read. A vocal opponent of game, for all the right reasons. I'm still not sure if I agree with him or not, but he's not stupid.
Calculated Bravery --- my blog. I'm all over the map though, with RP stuff, theology, NRx stuff. I happen to like this post quite a bit.
Staged Reality Not really an RP blog so much any more, though it used to be. It's written by Leap of A Beta, who since starting his blog converted to Catholicism. Now it's more on his faith. I enjoy reading it, but mostly because I've been reading it for a while and am interested in LoaB's life.

To answer the questions (which are good questions: they must be asked)

Regarding beliefs and how they manifest in tactics: You got me, man. I will point out, however, that God faces the same dilemma when dealing with us --- is it better to scare us? Be kind to us? Silent treatment? I suspect there's a place for all of them, but I'm not wise enough to discern which is which.

Religious beliefs and NAWALT: This is an interesting one. I am not so cynical as to believe women lack the capacity for love, self-sacrifice, and kindness. On the other hand, I know that all humans are fallen, and there's a reason I found TRP. But on the other hand, everyone has the capacity to become better, with Heaven's help.

I think Dalrock has it right: In the end, you can't protect against divorce rape. That doesn't mean it's inevitable, it just means that if she really wants to blow up the marriage for cash and prizes, you have no way to stop her. The best thing to do is accept this up front and carry on with life.

Evangelical Protestant over here. I have been a believer since early childhood and find new truths in scripture every single time I open the Good Book.

Dalrocks blog is about Christianized game for marriages and the feminization of the churches in the West.

At the least the Bible is the greatest book ever written but I believe nothing that good can be anything but divinely inspired.

Think about the Red Pill solutions to marriage we have "discovered" today. In fact, Paul and Peter wrote about it 2,000 years ago and even used the same words. Wife's be submissive to your husbands. Husbands love your wives. Wives and husbands should fuck all the time so you they are not tempted. Wife's are not allowed to withhold sex from the husband and vice-versa.

The Old Testament Patriarchs used concepts like Dread. King Solomon was really the King. His erotic poetry, The Song Of Solomon, shows a man EXACTLY how to treat a woman to make her come searching for you begging to drain your fluids.

Not to mention the story of the Serpent- the first Shit Test failed ever recorded and look where THAT got us. Failed Shit Test = The Original Sin!!!

I rarely say it and that is a shame but I say to you: He is risen indeed.

Atheist here. I commented on my experience before but I gave up on Christianity last year as I find it to contradict my own self improvement in many ways.

There may be red pill stories in there scattered about, but "American Christianity" is no sex till marriage, everything is a sin, and other BP or feminist values shoved in there when it works for them.

The biggest lie I Christianity is, "oh, well the next life will be better." Nope guys, this is it, this is all there is, this is your one shot.

I am a Christian and I agree that portions of the red pill ideology are strictly anti-christian. AWALT is an interesting concept that fits very well with what scripture states about mankind:

"There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.” - Romans 3:11-12

Only among the truly devout Christian women will you find the women who are closest to being what this sub calls a unicorn. These particular women are typically only found in very conservative churches. Outside of certain conservative denominations I have not found these kinds of women. It is of these women that the following can be said from 1 Peter 3:

Wives, in the same way be submissive to your husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives, when they see the purity and reverence of your lives. Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight.

I strongly believe that is only by the will and power of the Holy Spirit that these women overcome their sinfulness and are able to rise above the red pill belief of AWALT.

Not a Christian here, but I certainly think that Christianity and other religious doctrines have survived for as long as they have simply because they push the whole "traditional family roles" thing.

Think of it as Darwinian selection, but instead of for species, it is for societies. Societies that had methods of keeping the family unit strong (marriage that is highly valued, religion, as well as cultural influences) proliferated and developed well. That is why the traditional family is a staple in so many societies or rather was.

So i respect the "order" that religion can create out of anarchy in that sense, but there's no way I respect the ignorance and belief in the supernatural as well as the silencing of freedom of speech that many religions put forward.

First, I think there needs to be some clarification between what's immoral and what's amoral.

For instance, I think capitalism is pretty amoral. You can do with it whatever you want, and it allows the freedom to be immoral or moral. However, that's not the framework... that's you.

I think TRP is the same way. Most of it (IMO the objectively best, non-bitter stuff) is actually pretty amoral. I could also argue that some of the self-serving behavior that it advocates actually lead to better outcomes for everyone anyways. Perhaps not everything (someone can fill this in here), but a lot of the good parts.

Second: Ya, ok, I fucked chicks when I was single. So sue me. If you're perfect, you're by definition not a Christian.

I used to be an atheist for most of my life. I was raised by pretty moderate Catholics but was always interested in science and technology. I adopted a worldview that saw the world as Religion vs Science--and that people used religion as a tool to control other people.

I was blessed enough to have a couple of life experiences that opened my views up a little bit, but then learned about classical apologetics. I am now a very strong Christian and understand why my past beliefs were wrong.

Suspect one of the issues is the idea of Duty over Grace and a skewed view of the Scriptures, which basically has been hijacked and rolled into overt/covert State/Religion partnerships meant to shove the blue pill/drone mentality down believers throats.

Instead of unique beings, which each person is, one becomes reduced to merely mouthing slogans, not thinking for yourself and worst of all, being cut off from the Divine via an odd "either/or" theology or philosophy.

Now before I true charge of hypocrisy is leveled, I do not advocate having lots and lots of NSA's and FWB's, never have, think it fucks people up in the head. The flip side is Christianity as now preached means "no sex evvah outside of mawwige"

I've studied the Bible but don't practice Christianity. I'm not an Atheist either, but I have my own beliefs about some things.

I think there is definitely some kind of higher power out there, but I don't know what it is. If I really had to pick a religious title, it would be along the lines of Deism with a mix of other things.

My wife and I were Christians when we were young, baptized and raised by our respective families, though not truly into it. We both apostatized in our early twenties and haven't joined a religion since (it's been about 3-5 years).

In my teen years I was reading a lot about paganism and lately I've been ready more on more about Buddhism. There's a thing about nature that I particularly like about those types of religion and why I intend to continue learning about Buddhism. I also started meditating which has greatly helped me in times of stress.

I think the biggest thing that helped me religion-wise was starting to meditate. It helps keep my stress level down, which in turn helps me keep a clear, focused mind when I need to interact with stressful situations and not cower (which I would sometimes do before). It helps a lot in keeping control/maintaining frame when my wife starts to stress about something.

I don't know how you can take the disney ideal, so deeply engrained in western society, and come away from that seeing that it's bullshit, and yet not see through the bullshit that is organized religion.

Frankly I was under the impression that most of the people here were here because they believe in the scientific method and when you put the literature on the sidebar in front of someone like that they drastically change their worldview. It stands to reason these same people are areligious.

I've been involved with Mormonism (was baptized) for about a year once and was into it seriously. But that's something where you are either "all in" or mostly out. I might go back because it's a great group of people. They are slightly crazy, even call themselves the "peculiar people". Went many months without Fapping which was quite an experience. (though they have the problem too)

At the end of the day I only hold "faith" in that I can improve myself and know the patterns that underlie the universe better. If a church helps me... great. If Red Pill helps me... great.

Pantheistic atheist (it's a thing, a version of atheism/agnosticism). I draw a lot of my insights into gender and sexual relations from the pagan cultures and religions of the past. Equally, a lot of my understanding of the complexities of humanity come from a foundation of comparative psychology, ethology, and seeing people as animals first before considering our allegedly exceptional nature, or supposed uniqueness among all animals.

The christian is naively taught to be open and honest, which leads to beta behavior, when you discover what people do with that much information. The key is to be guarded and honest. Yeshua had a knack for answering questions with questions in order to divert conversations to motives. This was a shrewd reverse engineering of a person's mindset kind of action, which shares similarities in appearance to outright manipulation.
