You need to do what is right not what is popular. The social justice mob don't like TRP, nor a whole host of divergent opinions. Screw them. Make up your own mind and don't worry about the opinions of other people, or let them shame you into behaving the way that they want.

That said, a 'no friends policy' sounds kinda autistic. Everyone benefits from having friends to laugh with, confide in and help you out. Maybe you need to spend more time building friendships with guys that share similar values. There are billions of people in the world - find some who will help build you up, not knock you down.
