I can't say what Bill Cosby did or didn't do, because due to the passage of time and the various nondisclosure agreements, he'll never have his day in court for good or ill. I will say this though : I find it interesting that it's usually people in positions of power who do most of the raping, yet the average Beta dude is the one facing the pressure over rape accusations.

Remember it all started with this accusation.

While the woman genuinely believes she was hurt, what actually happened comes nowhere near what anyone in their sanest minds would call rape.

I'll quote the woman's definition of rape:

I blacked out after having dinner and one glass of wine at his New York City brownstone, where he had offered to mentor me and discuss the entertainment industry," she writes. "When I came to, I was in my panties and a man’s t-shirt, and Cosby was looming over me. I’m certain now that he drugged and raped me. ..."

What she says happened: He raped her through her panties!

What's more likely to have happened: poor girl couldn't hold her liquor, threw up all over her dress and passed out.

Next from the same article:

The final incident was in Atlantic City, where we had traveled for an industry event. I was staying in a separate bedroom of Cosby’s hotel suite, but he pinned me down in his own bed ...

There she was in a separate bedroom when she was magically transported to Cosby's bed! And pinned down!

And look at the words she uses for the second story - "the final incident". Really woman? How many were there?

Given the amount of attention this got, and the amount of attention the other stories are getting, I can be pretty sure that everyone who ever wholly consented to sex with that poor man is now going to retroactively withdraw their consent, and are therefore going to be women who were raped and now deserve to soak this man for all the money he got.

So this is sexual regret equals rape. Guess she didn't realize that Cosby wasn't a "cool" celebrity because of his emasculated TV persona until her girlfriends went "you fucked Bill Cosby? No one can tell her that being stoned is basically the opposite of being drunk because that would be tantamount to an admission of using Marijuana. If they did they could tell the court that rather than being disinhibiting and thought slowing, it's euphoric and perception altering. This is just a difficult situation. On the one hand, Bill could be a man abusing his celebrity and power to take advantage of women. On the other hand, these could be women that were groupies and now want a slice of the pie. They could be all mimicking each other's stories or they could be reporting a pattern that Bill took when abusing women. There is no way to know.

Other people have discredited parts of Janice's story saying that the timeline of her possibly being on the show in 1982 does not go with the fact that The Cosby show started in 1984. Or the fact that in her account, she claims to have been on her period, yet makes no mention of blood after the assault.

What I am really suspicious of is that some of these allegations are before Bill was a household name. He was not at all a powerful man, yet the women did not come forward. Even when Bill was a powerful man after the Cosby Show, I cannot believe that the public would put a black man above an attractive white woman claiming to be a victim, especially in the 80s.

The big problem is there is no way to know what went on. Everything is so long ago that all we have is his word against theirs but the mere allegation has destroyed much of his life's work and his last few projects have been cancelled. Even if he is innocent, he is now guilty.

I smell a burgeoning industry in 'rape accusation insurance' coming.

Imagine it: The important, rich, and famous can take out a policy, take certain measures (maybe including video tapes, audio recordings, written statements, two-person rules, etc), and be insured against rape accusations. If accused, the insurance company investigates and determines what's going on, and either pays off the accuser or takes the the accuser to court. If the insurance company finds out the insured person did it, they are legally bound to report the offense to the courts and hand over the evidence.
