Imagine a tribe with 100 people. Now, how many babies are produced from the following:

Equal men and women

50 men and 50 women ..... 5 babies

Imagine half of the women die, how many babies now?

50 men and 25 woman ..... Just 1 baby. In other words the tribe is fucked

Now imagine instead that 25 men die, how many babies now.....

25 man and 50 women ..... Back up to 50 babies, the tribe is fine.

So as we can see, only women dying actually affects the population and this is why it's more important to protect women.

Men simply don't matter as much. If half of all men died today, it would not effect our ability to continue our species. If half of all women died our population would plummet. It is VITAL that our species takes care of women over men, this is hardwired into us for our own survival.

Society will never care about the issues affecting men, because it simply doesn't matter what happens to men. Women, however, absolutely must be taken care of if the species is to survive.
