TRP doesn't have that many years under its belt anyways.

On the other hand, if even 1% of current members occasionally post something useful, that adds up to several lifetimes of experience and insight.

I arrived at TRP about 30 months ago and it seemed that the side bar and various top posts and maybe nor so top posts by some of the ECs and such basically represented about 95%+ of the possible wisdom that could be collected there. The remaining quality posts are either a) reiterations of what can be found elsewhere b) refinement by a closer examination of theory or c) refinement by example, generally through field reports.

Having said that, most field reports are trash because they are either 1) poorly written with no usable link between theory and application or 2) non-credible brag-fests

Something that really seems to be dragging the quality down is the invasion of blackpillers who post there about the nature of women while essentially rejecting the core tenants of TRP as being pointless.

There was another similar thread to this, and I think the reason is quite obvious.

The qualities required to be successful in the 'dating market' are:

(i) sheer persistence;

(ii) the ability to accept rejection / flaking / inevitable periods where it seems completely futile;

(iii) possibly allied to (ii) is a relentlessly positive attitude, even when this seems completely irrational, although I would say this is less important;

(iv) luck.

Dating advice doesn't work. Regardless of whether it's good or bad advice, you still have to approach inordinately, or send hundreds of messages on dating sites, or swipe thousands of times, or whatever it is you do on Tinder.

And then get loads of women's numbers, and have them all flake on you, and then start all over again.

And then go on some dates, and sometimes you immediately don't like them, and sometimes they immediately don't like you, and sometimes there isn't something there but it doesn't work, and sometimes you get together for a bit, but something gets in the way, or sometimes you really like each other but the chemistry isn't quite there, or sometimes you are attracted to each other, but there is no intellectual, conversational or emotional connection.

And then you go back to square one again.

Attraction is about being in the right place, at the right time, with the right person. And if you're more persistent then by the law of averages this becomes somewhat more likely.

I was reading a newspaper article yesterday, which ironically summed this up. It was an interview of the writer Nick Hornby, and he said the following:

It is always chance that one meets someone. What’s extraordinary is that young people are doing everything they can to minimise chance in their romantic lives. When it comes to looks, interests, things that can be judged on social media, there is all this flicking through pages and pages on dating websites and suddenly deciding: this is the person. Our pool was pretty small by comparison.

But you cannot ultimately reduce chance from the process. And I think this becomes quite obvious over time, so there is naturally less interest in trying to 'hack' and shortcut the process, like video games or the keto diet. Because it doesn't work.

Equally, I think people realise that you have minimal control over whether or not you attract an individual person, or how that interaction works out. Arguably - and I certainly believe this - you have minimal control over how attractive you are.

If you consider attracting one individual woman at random, it is obvious that she might not be attracted to you whatever you do. And if you have a LTR, it is obvious that it might not last whatever you do.

So at a certain point there just is no point in continually analysing these things, when the ~~best~~ only remotely sensible strategy for attracting someone is simply to approach or meet lots of women, which is what it all boils down to ultimately anyway.

Doing that and your reaction to the results is the only thing that you can control. Beyond that, you can only have an extremely minimal influence on your results, whatever you do.

Yep, it died years ago. Allot of the guys on the original RP weren't really interested in pua game. So after better rp subs were started everyone left

How many times do the same principles need to be reiterated? I understand some practices need to be altered as technology changes, but the overall concepts are the exact same as they were 10 years ago.

Women have become more simple and predictable over the years. "Gaming women" is simply no longer necessary when dealing with younger women.

TRP needs to adapt and start obtaining more members with original thoughts.

Or not, the world has ways of carrying on ideas without the old guard.

Such is life.

After a certain point, trp has nothing to offer men who don't struggle with their sex life and who are physically healthy. It's more akin to a hospital than a toolbox- people go there for cures. No one wants to go to a hospital when they're fine.

I've read TRP since 2014 and it's as good as ever. There is lots of repitition but society changes from month to month. The information has always been out there but TRP comes up with new applications.
