There was have been multiple askreddit threads discussing male rape and sexual assault. Many of them suffered with anxiety and depression after the fact and almost all the confessions were made by throwaways because 1) they didn't want to be called weak pussies or 2) they had family members on reddit and they didn't want to hear yet again "you weren't really raped."

Just because you think any sex would be worth it does not mean it was not a trauma for the men who were afflicted.

I was going to delve into this, but from the comments it seems your opinion boils down to "if a man gets raped, it's his own fault" because he's biologically bigger and stronger on average (ignoring coercion and weapons). Is that an accurate assessment?

A lot of the cases of men being raped occur when they are minors at the hands of trusted female family friends or even family members themselves.

I dont think its as easy for these victims to just leave as you think it is.

A lot of men are sexually assaulted or abused by women, and they do share their stories and it can be a traumatic experience. If the male did not want the sex and he was forced into it, it is easy to see how that would be an issue. If I recall correctly a lot of males do not feel comfortable sharing this with other people due to attitudes people hold similar the ones in this post.

please do not belittle or dismiss other people's trauma. you have no fucking idea what you're talking about. rape can wreck people's lives, no matter who the victim or perpetrator was.

I want you to think about this for a moment. Yes, men do seem to have a better go at 'burying' negative experiences. However, that same feeling of powerlessness, helplessness still applies. You could go to the cops, and get laughed off because "Everyone knows that men can't get raped". And, if the perpetrator gets pregnant as a result, chances are, you'll have to end up paying child support, regardless of what age you are.
