Good Evening ya whatcha-call-its,

A recent thought occurred to me lately and I wanted to hear other points of view regarding this topic.

So recently, I've noticed a few posts in this sub regarding "reasons for men not getting laid (and what they should do about it)." In previous posts, the OKC study is often cited as a source for proof that women simply don't find most men attractive, and this (in strictly digital media terms) is the focus for many points of view among incels and TRP. Namely, that women are physically attracted to certain types of men, and if you don't look a certain way, women will simply not be interested in getting to know them, which makes it more difficult for those men to "be successful" in the dating world (or getting sex, if that is what they're really after).

Nobody is going to argue that looks do matter to women when searching for a potential mate, but in the context of that specific argument, I wanted to draw our attention to the old, traditional family model of relationships, because I feel that the source of many men's anguish who suffer from particularly "lookist" views can be found there.

It is here that I will center the discussion around the opinion that the traditional model of relationships have produced a rather large number of men with lower genetic quality, which has effectively led to their later generation having greater difficulty in finding relationships, and the technological advancement of the internet and social media, as well as the "sexual liberation" of women and the shifting perspectives and values within the dating world have facilitated in re-orienting us toward a more natural and biological model of relationships and attraction.

That being said, this will obviously make finding relationships (and sex) more difficult for less physically attractive people in general. However, being that women have always been valued for their looks and youth by men of previous generations, it stands to reason that there would be a vast quantity of women who were more attractive than their male counterparts, and I base this on the assumption that men are not all totally valued by women for their looks, nor did they have to be for the traditional family model. Men were simply paired with women despite much differences in physical attractiveness.

After this family model was dissolved, men and women were free to pursue who they wanted for whatever reasons that they wanted, and this has left many of the less genetically fortunate, lower quality people as a result of forced unions in the past, struggling to find success in the sexual and romantic market place.

So, I ask you all now:

Do you more or less agree with this hypothesis?

Is there anything you would add?

If you disagree, what do you think would or could be the cause for the disparity in success between men and women in the SMP, besides obvious dynamics of men pursuing out of habit or out of shear thirstiness?

Thank you.
