To me, it's just thinking about somebody a lot and looking forward to being with her, just the same as how one might feel towards a favorite television series or media franchise or whatever. The infatuation phase is just hormones, but when you're truly in love with someone long-term, it's not so hormonal and more like feeling they are part of your life so much that you can't imagine what your life would be like if she were no longer in it anymore.

It feels great. What's interesting is unlike infatuation it comes and goes. You like them but it's not as idealized, as you get to really be with them. It feels a lot like a crush except they love you back. It's extremely intense at times. Its easy to see why so many guys debase themselves trying to hold on to that.

Edit: I take women at their word for what it feels like to them. I've heard a lot of accounts, I assume it's different for each of them. I have to understand it in a bit of an abstract way though, as their thinking process is pretty different than mine.

It's much different than when I was young.

Now it is that feeling that the world is in order. She sits there on the far side of the room with her Reader's Digest while you have your Economist or whatever, and yet you are connected.

A key point is that you get your brains fucked out of you. It is either the instigating factor or it seals the deal, but then again not everyone is a horndog like me.

In the end it is sui generis because people and therefore relationships are unique. I could tell 5 different stories about 5 different women with 5 different sets of patterns and markers.

I've already experienced falling in love, but only back in highschool to a oneitis. I describe it as a strong attachment and obsession towards someone.

I don't want to fall in love again because it hurts when it's unrequited.

Falling head over heels in love is for your younger years. When you get older you become more pragmatic, or possibly you're scorched and jaded from falling in love in the past!

It's more intense when you're a kid, but falling into romantic love is frightening and confusing, because you don't know how she feels. And when it is returned through actions and affirmations of different kinds, it makes you feel completely satisfied and glad to be alive. Until it starts to wear off.

It probably feels the same way for women, except they don't have the principled foundation on which to dutifully maintain the relationship.

In other words, it feels the same, but if the emotions go away in the woman, she will just go somewhere else chasing that feeling.

When I was last in love it was just a total dopamine rush and mind fuck. I couldn't not think about her and I wanted to talk to her every day. It's a great feeling and I can't wait for it to happen again.

Feels good - better than drugs. I don't know how it feels for women, I think they love differently.

To me love is when I care for them the way I care for myself. To hurt her would be as repulsive as for her to hurt me.
