CMV: Women are not significantly more narcissistic than men. In fact, it's quite the opposite.

Studies have shown that men are typically the more narcissistic gender. For example:

This study shows that lifetime NPD is about 7.7 percent for men, and 4.8 percent for women. That's somewhere around a third higher. This information comes from the journal of clinical psychology, one of the most reliable sources in that field. This study seems to examine narcissism from a broad perspective, however, and I find the second source to be more specific.

The University at Buffalo School of Management compiled a massive meta analysis (analysis of hundreds of previous studies and surveys) that not only concluded that men are more narcisstic in two of the three narcisstic categories, but also speculates that these differences are related to gender roles, in that female leadership is more often viewed negatively than male leadership.
