TBP Makes Arguments From Nothing

none of you have a theory or framework or some sort of concerted effort put into figuring out human, male, and female nature.

Consider a religious person saying: "atheists, you don't have a theory for understanding God", to which the atheists reply: "our theory is just that God doesn't exist; it's a simple idea, and it negates any need for a complex theory about what God is".

This is kind of like what's going on here. RPers have an idea of male and female nature, and BPers argue that there isn't a separate male and female nature (or at least that the differences aren't that big). It's just a necessary result of this that RP ideas will be more complex than BP ideas, just like religious people have complex ideas about what God is while the atheist perspective is simple.

(Ideas of human nature fit in a bit differently; I think BPers tend towards the blank slate side, but I don't consider that a core part of BP in the same way as what I said about gender differences.)

So why doesn't TRP use that opportunity to clean up their theory, get rid of the holes? That would make for a stronger theory, and a stronger argument.

Which is why the majority of arguments revolve around semantics debates, that's the easiest way to negate an argument

If you're referring to the sirens thread, you had people of every pill color - including red - telling you that you were wrong, based on the definition of the word.

That wasn't semantics, that was just being wrong.

There is absolutely no requirement in debate that you provide alternate theories to the theory being presented by your opponent. All that is required is poking holes in the logic or factual claims that are being made by your interlocutor. It is always incumbent upon the person making a claim to defend that claim or to provide evidence tending to show that their claim is true.

Technically I believe you're referring to users with blue pill flairs, and not TBP. TBP is a sub decided to mock TRP and it's ideas. Users with blue pill flairs are the ones actually crafting arguments and poking holes.

Are you saying BP/Purple folk should not be making arguments from the vantage point of personal experience or that nobody should? Because I see many RP dudes doing exactly that and I see nothing wrong with it. Are we supposed to be a journal club instead parrying one another over peer reviewed studies?

People don't have to offer an alternative to critique a theory. If some part of a theory is wrong it will still be wrong whether the person pointing it out is Einstein or the village idiot.

I think the problem is more that TBP by and large doesn't attack legitimate red pill theory just goes after strawman or posts 2563423 threads on how "red pillers are looooosers har har har"

As an athiest, I do not need to offer an alternative view of how the universe was made and how it works. I am simply a skeptic of the nonsensical beliefs of the religions.

This is the exact same thing for people against red pill.

Also defendants in court, they aren't arguing anything, simply defending their position.

You need skeptics and cynics in society to prevent nonsensical beliefs from propagating.

I wouldn't think it was useless if it debated actual points about it and not just satire. For example, atheism is only to counter the concept of god/religion, but it uses actual logic and reasoning to dismantle it and not just making fun of it using stupid examples.

Until then, yeah blue pill doesn't mean shit to anyone.

If I had the same attitude towards men the way that TRP has for my gender-- I'd be as gay as a $3 bill.
From experience, I'd say that I have no sexual desire for someone I can't respect or trust.
TRP makes me want to stay far away from any men on a permanent basis. I'll never know if the guy who's hitting on me is hiding a hateful monster inside. I'll never know if the guy harbors some deep desire to see me lose my right to vote, my right to own my own property, my ability to work, choose how many children I give birth do. I ask myself whenever a guy hits on me these kinds of questions: Does the average guy deep down want some kind of Christian Sharia? Increasingly I believe the answer is "yes".
Does this guy want to be able to beat me with no repercussions? "Yes." Does this guy want to be legally able to brutally rape me? "Yes."
Does this guy want to gaslight me into making me think I'm crazy? "Yes."
The women they describe as being commonplace have very little resemblance to myself or most of the people I know. The people they complain about are the same entitled princess types I've always disliked in the first place.
Spend your life trying to hook up with porno-quality Prom Queens and you're going to get hurt. These same kind of Prom Queens stab other women in the back and make our lives miserable, too. Brushing us all with the same broad brush, I think TRP just wants to justify destroying any autonomy we have with our own lives, even legally.
It seems to me that TRP get their ideas through television, thinking HS drama is "the real world", and hardcore internet porn-- I would say it's equal to a woman expecting a relationship that reflects a Disney romance or soap opera. Just because movies and TV depict carefree divorced career gals with condos and perfect children and rich ex hubby paying for everything doesn't mean this is reality. Just because the Bible says "Eve is caused the fall of mankind" doesn't mean it's reality.
I also happen to be one of those quiet/small types who tends to attract psychos and control freaks without intentionally trying to. I watched my mother get bullied by a narcissist my whole life. I've dealt with these types of guys within and outside my family- they flock after the weak women who are easy to dominate and control. They'll fvck with your head until you are nothing, capable of nothing, and afraid of your own shadow. These kinds of guys do the same thing with men they encounter, too, ultimately alienating their own sons whom they abuse and try to dominate.
I've seen it happen more than once.
They reduce people into parts, into numbers, into cost/investment/profit, and manipulate accordingly. The Prom Queens I know are often the same kind of animal. TRP mistakenly seems to imply that these characteristics are unique to one gender only-- or they do it on purpose knowing they're not really correct, but still continue as long as they feel it legitimizes they own desire for more power over the other gender in totality.
