Love is commitment, honor, obligation, familial affection.

If she's lacking the love part, she's more prone to leave you the moment she doesn't feel a "burning hot attraction" towards you. And that is bound to happen because as I said attraction goes in and out.

Love is blind friend. Even if he's a dumpy dude who gained 40 lbs don't matter if she loves him.

if she loses love though, those things start to becomes more noticeable - and annoying. It's the same for men too. Lose the love, lose the commitment, caring, support - lose the relationship.

This is tough because you are going to have to define "attraction" and "love" and inevitably there will be some overlaps between the terms. Someone could easily argue that love is just sustained attraction over time.

You have it almost right.

The relationship isn't sustained because there's a constant level of sexual arousal/attraction. The relationship is sustained because there was strong attraction between the two at the beginning of the relationship, which bonded the two of them, and forged a strong relationship. That relationship is based on strong mutual sexual attraction at the beginning. That strong attraction leads to a strong, frequent and healthy sex life at the beginning and for the first few years of the relationship. Love flourishes between the two of them in that time, and gives rise to common goals, the construction of a life together, and shared experiences.

The attraction is more important, but only at the beginning.

This is why so many marriages fail. It's because the wife never really was attracted to her husband; or because she was considerably LESS attracted than she was to the men she fucked when she was younger. It's because there was never a strong amount of attraction present, which led to a "meh" sex life, which never really "glued" the two of them together. The marriages end because they were never really 'together' in the first place.
