I think to the degree some men/women care about status, they care about it in an additive way, i.e. they want someone they are physically attractive to, to have status (or humor, or talent, or whatever other non physical qualities they value), but status isn't related to their physical attraction wiring.

It's unclear to me whether Red Pill teaches that raising your status will increase female physical/sexual interest, but it seems a lot of Red Pillers I encounter seem to think that. The irony is that raising your status without raising your looks makes you EVEN more likely to be used by women with insufficient sexual interest in you which seems to be a core red pill fear.
