According to a lot of Bluepillers on TBP, the MRM/MRAs are full-blown misogynists too! PPD people, what's your take on this?

I think the most you can accuse RedPillers of is some bitterness and cynicism regarding women. There is some out and out misogyny, but it frequently gets internal pushback or is dismissed as venting (which it often is).

RedPill is more an expression of frustration or disappointment with women rather than outright hatred. RedPill seeks to work with women (as they see them), rather than seek to oppress or destroy women/the concept of femininity.

Which is more than I can say for feminists, many of whom refer to masculinity as a disease to be cured.

I consider it all pretty useless. MRAs are pretty much defined as being in opposition to feminism, Men's Lib is pretty much defined as being feminism espoused by men. Both of these sides have one thing in common: they are defined by feminism.

Any real handling of male issues and masculinity isn't going to come from fighting against or advocating for feminism. It's a pointless battle, one side or the other.

The real change I've seen has been from men helping other men out, doing the real work of lifting each other and showing the way instead of just tearing each other down for fucking Internet points.

It's funny that MRA and feminism are two different collectivists views that hate each other. Both of those groups are up to their ears in bullshit. At least individualists and other RP types don't have to pretend to like each other. (Not that BPers who don't understand things wont try and ascribe it to them.)

These types tend to lump all men together.

So PUAs, red pill, incels, MRAs, etc are all the exact same thing.

That's the logic they used to blame MRAs for Elliott Rodgers, the Lufthansa pilot, and various school shootings including the latest.

So it really doesn't matter what the MRM says or does, these types will always conflate them with any man who has ever hated women.

Ironically they're the first to pull the "no true feminist" card.

Does that make them raging hypocrites? I'll let you decide.

MRAs are usually liberal egalitarian socialists. I wouldn't even call them part of the red pill. I have met self identified feminists and MRAs who basically have all the same beliefs and ideas.

I don't think misogyny is real. Males aren't capable of hating women. At most, they have misdirected self-hate and insecurity toward others.

Sadly, a lot of males just seem to hate each other, and I think this is evident in some RP rhetoric. Particularly anxiety over a woman's partner count. They hate the idea of another male having had this woman, because they hate other males. Notice how partner count anxiety is absent from lesbian and gay culture, and less prevalent in women in general. Those women who do exhibit it tend to have insecurity about other women in general and unfavorably compare themselves to them.

An example of where RP rhetoric only gets it partially right is in the stuff about males being sent to war. Yes, this is terrible and men shouldn't have to fight and certainly fighting to protect women is a misguided notion. However, I don't think that women are responsible for this societal choice. I think that it's elite men who wouldn't be sent to war, wishing to eliminate male competition. Again, men hate each other and are willing to go to this extreme to reduce competition because of a generalized anxiety toward other males.

There's a couple of examples to give you an idea of what I mean. I think that RPers need to recognize this before they can honestly move forward with helping each other (and I'd be suspicious of the advice for men from men who intentionally espouse these ideals of male hatred).

I'm really sick of all of the -isms thrown around. It detracts from any serious discussion and immediately biases any current or future audience member against (or for, in the case of actual woman haters). Also, it's lazy as fuck.

If the MRM spent any time actually working toward righting the issues facing men instead of railing against feminism, they might be taken seriously. As it stands, not so much.

Compare it to how /r/men's rights approached this one.

The MRM refuses to team up with potential allies, because sacrificing men means nothing to many of them, if it can help them demonize feminism. Not just feminists they disagree with - all feminists. That's their primary goal. It defines almost everything they do, as a movement. And some are so uninformed about men's issues, that they think a society run by anti-feminists is a male utopia.

Is it misogynistic? Not necessarily, but /r/mensrights welcome misogynistic conspiracy theories if they're phrased properly. And they're the moderates.

You should see what Paul Elam brings to the table.
