Robots will NEVER be able to replace women:

No emotions. Sure, it will be easy to program the robots to not give blowjobs, but how will they be able to fake a headache or fake being tired, or try to make you feel guilty because "all you think about is sex!"?
Dat stank. How will they make the robots smell fishy or have them bleed all over the place? I suppose they could, but it would be much more pleasant if they didn't. But then again, that would ruin the realism.
Unrealistic behavior. Can they make the robots act as enthusiastic as a stripper in a storm cloud of $100 bills? Can they program them to talk your ear off about their past boyfriends or teach them to give "what exactly are we now" talks after you have sex with them?
Different models will be needed. Most guys would just want robots with an ass, mouth and puss. Some guys would want tits, ankles and feet. They could even make one for "nice guys" which would be a slot to insert cash until it's full, at which point the robot says "I like you as a brother" and shuts down.

No, I don't think women are in jeopardy of losing their sexual appeal any time soon. Fleshlights™ already feel better than a real pussy, but your Fleshlight™ can't make you feel bad about not texting back or accuse you of not loving it enough.

The male drive isn't to jizz into some sort of semen receptacle. It's to jizz in a human female. Well, with a couple obvious exceptions. The former is a stopgap while waiting for the latter.

Though I guess it will make visiting a sperm bank or fertility clinic more entertaining.

I just keep thinking about the scene from Rick and Morty where Morty gets the sex bot. Every 14 year old boy will behave exactly like that when they get one for Christmas. Video game companies will all go bankrupt.

I think a lot of the hardcore MGTOW guys will be happy to be free from needing women for anything.

I wonder if prostitution will still be very active once the robots are affordable to the average person and look and move like real humans.

in time robots will be able to replace women and men.

men cannot compete with them in strength and physical ability, nor mental. the closest you can do is with power suits like in japan, but why bother paying a man to wear it when you can buy a robot that can.

self maintenance at its best. you can even have two, to do it to each other.

emotions. emotions are just signals, released after a calculation. what is so special about it? stress anxiety, no different from a machine caught in an eternal loop without an escape. a machine one day will be able to have this full ability. its not a quesiton of can or cannot, it is when.

looking at the scene, how women are turning into nothing more but organic sex toys, how hard are you really to replace if that is all youre worth? if that is all you can do? making sammiches? lol.

humans, the more you understand them, the more they truly seem to be just like biological machines. just like programs in robots. they experience wear and tear, factory defects, corruption of data, limited storage, virus infections and on and on. theyre so much alike really.

the only difference is how you reproduce. and even that is not really hard to do. all you do is cascade information afterall then the viral intervention as has been said.

i am fortunate enough to not live at that point, when machines have truly surpassed us

I think it's a pretty cool concept (of course in my mind I'm picturing hyper-realistic A.I. meets Surrogates style bots) but I really don't think sexbots will become anything more than a novelty toy for the rich and the bored.

However, I despise the way sexbots are often hailed as the near-future comeuppance for stuck up women who won't put out. That kind of thinking totally ignores the fact that were they to exist, they wouldn't simply be female bots made to cater to men. Women would definitely want to get in on the action too.

I mean, lets be real here, if they did become an actual "thing" that actually became popular, plenty of women would be lining up for their very own, made-to-order, chiseled, toned and baritoned Chad Thunderbot too.

That said, I still don't think their popularity and use would be as widespread as some would like to believe. At the end of the day, a major component of sex is the validation aspect. If it was more about pure sexual release, more people would visit prostitutes.

I think if anything, any real popularity would come from those who want sexbots that give them what they absolutely cannot have IRL under any circumstances (i.e., child and preteen bots, and some kind of furry-type bot)

I could see sex bots being a thing if AI was sufficiently advanced. If you can feel like you're fucking a someone, instead of a something, that will be the tipping point.

Hypergamy. Hypergamy everywhere. Why deal with a real relationship and its ups and downs when you can just have a reasonably human like sex slave? This goes for men and women alike, btw. Women are just as interested in a perfect lover at their beck and call. Host clubs in japan, anyone?

Will take much longer than 100 years to get to that point though. Sorry to burst anyone's bubble. Some kind of MMO virtual sex is more likely in the interim. At the very least, VR sex where you can fuck a porn star using some combination of fleshlight, oculus rift, and likely, drugs.

I don't think we're close to sex bots -- robotics is still fairly early staged in terms of getting them to move and ambulate in a way that comes close to how the human body does, which would be key for a sex bot.

Virtual reality, however, that is coming soon to a TV near you. Oculus rift, some kind of fleshlight (for men) or dildo (for women) which is wired to pulse and so on in sync with what is happening in the VR. I can see that becoming a thing in the next 5-10 years as that tech is perfected, and it will become addicting to quite a few people, I think. Kind of like porn on steroids, and there are already quite a few people addicted to porn, of course.
