i dont understand the negative reaction. If a woman wants to be sexually aggressive, never start a family, and be loud about it, we celebrate it. If a guy does this, its a hate group.

its a sub like many others... mods do their work nicely, its VERY easy for newbies to understand what it is all about (sidebar), its pretty complete i would say, plenty of advice from men to men (mostly). Even tho many think it is all about women, it isn't, its a guide on how to become a better version of ourselves, and a place where we can share ideologies with those who are trying, or have accomplished the same thing.

It's a good place to get the information needed but sometimes it devolves into men incessantly bitching about random shit. They should have better things to do.

Anyone has a right to think whatever they want, no restrictions. And they have the right to do whatever they want, with the restriction that they operate within the confines of the law.

Simply put, my opinion of /r/TheRedPill is this: they have a right to exist, and I have a right to disagree with them, think poorly of them, and if I so desire, avoid them.

I do wish that there was a more moderate version of the men's rights movement, because I think some of the points they bring up are very valid. Legal issues regarding paternal custody in divorce cases, the negative consequences of men falsely accused of rape, and the pathologization (sp?) of male sexuality are all issues that need to be discussed. But they won't be discussed in the mainstream as long as the people bringing them up are misogynistic extremists like TRPers.

Honestly, I think TRP is doing the men's rights movement (such as it is) a great disservice. No one outside of TRP/PUA takes these ideas seriously because they are associated with misogyny, hate and sexually frustrated teenagers.

TRP is a bathtub of diarrhea with a handful of gems scattered throughout. You can get some really good stuff, but have to dog through a lot of shit.

I agree with roughly 70% of trp claims about sexual attraction and social dynamics. The evo psych explanations are plausible but unproven. The politics are interesting but often go too far off the deep end for me to take seriously.

Imo trp turning into what it is was inevitable with a large amount of subs.

TRP is actually a pretty catchy name because it plays on people's desire to become aware of anything in their lives they were previously unaware of. If they just named it "Gender Awareness", nobody would show up.

I like the TRP posters on PPD a lot more; a lot of them aren't really misogynistic and present interesting points. However I cringe at a lot of the threads on TRP. So. Much. Bitterness.

The signal:noise ratio is (or was) terrible, though. But, it's been several months since I've read much there in earnest. I think the mods have been trying to improve things.

Honestly, I hold MGTOW in higher regard than The Red Pill (not the subreddit but in general). TRPers strike me as contradictory and don't seem particularly intelligent to me as a result. I find the subreddit interesting but I know those aren't the first people I'd go to for advice on how to live my life.

I think, if you go on there, you'll find what you're looking for.

If you're looking for something motivating, something interesting, something relevant, something relatable, you'll find it.

If you're looking for something half-baked, hypocritical, disparaging, depressing, or ludicrous, you will also find it.

If you're looking for advice, you can find it there. If you're looking for honest discussion/debate, you can find it. If you're looking to pick a fight, you can find it, on the sub.

I think, after reading for a while, if you're honest with yourself about your intentions, you can learn to glean something positive while avoiding the things that you dislike, which probably aren't meant for you anyway.

I think the subreddit is about growth, more than anything. It has made me self reflect on things beyond what is detailed in posts, and on the sidebar.

There is a lot of variation in poster's personalities, from those who are able to almost fully detach from their emotions and follow Red Pill like some kind of scientific system, to those who have severe misogynistic anger issues and just use the sub as a place to vent their hatred. Usually any kind of feelings at all, good or bad, on /r/TheRedPill are relentlessly downvoted, and the ultimate goal seems to be to make every user into some kind of unfeeling sex god with the ultimate prize being constant access to any woman's vagina that one wants.
