I am a type of libertarian called a minarchist. The manosphere has a strong US libertarian leaning. What the left and people outside the US call libertarian is confusing

TRP is a branch of the dark enlightenment socio-political universe, which overlaps with many ideologies on the right side of the political spectrum. There are those who oppose democracy too in the DE.

Well, TRP is more of a model of analyzing social relations, it's not politically prescriptive. That said, I think Redpillers fall into one of two camps: 1) Libertarian/Minarchist/Anarcho-capitalist, or 2) Archconservative/Neoreactionary.

Myself, I fall into the second. I believe that humans (men and women) are flawed, imperfect beings in need of strong leaders, traditions, and hierarchies. I believe we need to look carefully when something threatens the status quo, because it may lead to unforeseen issues.

In general, I consider myself socially conservative, economically moderate (as in, I worry less about economic issues, but I don't think unrestricted capitalism is good for the world as a whole). But I think other people might characterize me differently. Here's how I stand on some select issues:

Abortion: Don't particularly care.

Gay marriage: Don't particularly care.

Interventionist US Foreign Policy: Support.

Israel/Palestine: Sympathetic towards Israel.

Transgenderism: Should be treated as a psychobiological disease rather than normalized. This doesn't mean I am transphobic or whatever, it just means that I see transgender people as I would see a cancer sufferer: someone that needs our help.

GamerGate: Support (the gaming press has abandoned its duties to us, and thus it is our duty to see it deposed).

Sex Differences: Men and women are more similar than different, but the differences that exist are mostly biological and innate.

Equality of Sexes: Support.

Feminism: Oppose. Feminism is a doctrine that presupposes victimhood of women, and draws fantastic conclusions based on this (see the UVa Hoax for the latest example). Over the past 40 years, feminism has destroyed families, destabilized societies, and is creating an untenable world with large amounts of de facto surplus men.

Definitely libertarian in thinking. Many identify as libertarian politically too since the thinking is the same.

Libertarian socialism is pretty far removed how things actually are (in the US anyway) considering we have state capitalism, a lot people don't even know it's a thing.

When it comes to the sexual marketplace, I'm left-leaning. It is my view that deregulating the sexual marketplace has caused great harm, and we need to regulate it again.

It would definitely appeal to libertarians as it emphasizes personal responsibility rather than the state fixing things for me.

But it is not a 'political philosophy'.

When has the definition of libertarian changed? AFAIK, it has always been "I'm alright thanks Jack, I've got mine, fuck the rest of you". Small government, lassaize faire approach to economic and social regulation, private enterprise and philanthropic funding of health, welfare and infrastructure.

In short; it sounds awesome in a "Yay, I don't have to pay tax! Take that, Sheriff of Nottingham!" kind of way; right up until you need a snowplough or an ambulance.

People who see themselves as being at the top of the food chain, and who couldn't care less about those who aren't, tend to favour the notion.

Oh, I like politics threads.

I don't identify as libertarian and I don't think TRP has much to do with libertarianism. There is however a discontent with how modern feminism has changed society, so I think TRP naturally tends more towards conservatism. Some redpillers might favor more government intervention in social issues and some might not, but it's irrelevant to being redpill.

The red pill is just a reality based sexual strategy. It would change as society and gender dynamics change. It doesn't really extend beyond what you as an individual want out of life, I feel that there would be a broad spectrum of different political beliefs within the red pill.

While many people have both those sets of views, they cannot and do not overlap.

Political philosophies are prescriptive. TRP is descriptive. It concerns itself solely with is, not what ought to do be, therefore it does not overlap with any philosophy about what is "right" or what people "should" do.

I'm a pretty far left liberal, myself. I think red pill is more a reaction to circumstances as opposed to emblematic of an idealogy.

For instance, I work a job at a company that supports companies that I dislike - not because I am a capitalist, but because the world around has dictated that I must if I want to be happy.
