In all seriousness, describing someone as just "LTR alpha" doesn't say much about him as a person. I think bpers ironically obsess over the dichotomy even more than rpers in some ways. Even the trp mods talk about alpha/beta as more like "directions" than actual people, because no one is a pure alpha or pure beta. A pure alpha would be a psychopathic ruler... or more likely stuck in prison due to his lack of inhibitions.

I personally would trust someone in the family that has an adequate measure of alpha qualities. I've seen my share of pathological altruists and it's too depressing to handle. Obviously, well-balanced is better (where precisely that balance point is, of course, is subjective). I personally have promoted beta qualities a lot in trp... because I wouldn't want to see people just tossing the baby out with the bathwater.

silly question actually because my daughter IS the alpha and I wouldn't tolerate any less.... she is mid 20's now... she can reevaluate her needs and if a LTR is on her radar she can adjust accordingly

I would rather teach my daughter to be strong and seek out her own partners, rather than wait for the first "alpha" to come around. Women typically have all the power to make or break a relationship anyway, so I would rather see her make the best of that power/privilege. If she wants to be a doer, or have a strong carreer, then she should go find herself a supporting, stable and caring man. If she wants to be a supporter, then she should go find herself an assertive and successful doer. Either way, I think there are so many other qualities that are so much more important to building any kind of meaningful relationship with someone than their height or "alpha" disposition(which seem to be the two top criteria women value men off of). Looking for a guy that is loving, devoted, ethical, good, attentive and healthy would be, if anything, considerably more constructive and beneficial for any kind of long term relationship.

No such thing as Ltr alpha, no matter what those guys say.

TRP works mostly for short term flings.

In a ltr ,you have to get vulnerable and let your guard down once in a while and if the girl leaves you over that, she's isn't worth the trouble.

This question doesn't make a lot of sense. There are alpha males that would make great partners for my daughter, and ones that would make horrible partners, and most I imagine would be somewhere in-between.

I guess, all other things being equal, I would rather her date an alpha type dude because he would have his shit together more than a beta. And I'm she would be happier dating a alpha male than some spineless twerp.

But that's just not enough to go off of. Hitler was an alpha, but so was Abe Lincoln. I certainly wouldn't be against a guy just because he was an alpha male :

Fuck yes. If I had a daughter and she found a good, responsible alpha man she would be about as happy as she could in a relationship. What all women want is a strong dude who's a rock in the storm who protects and takes care of them, not some beta slob who gets shit tested to death and can't enable the woman to enjoy her own happiness, but instead needs support from the woman.

I'd like my daughter to have a traditional relationship, and would prefer this over being chained to a weak willed man who she can't count on when times get tough.

And I'd 100x prefer a traditional marriage with it's problems over these degenerate new arrangements like Open marriages.
