I think this one is all on you, and your attitudes to sex and the opposite sex are a you thing, not a RP or random everybody thing. It's certainly not a wide spread thing in mainstream feminism and is liable to just win you a lot of "eh, your approach is your right." Stating that men, categorically, can't be trusted, is only going to win you friends in sexist circles- personally it's not something I encourage.

Some people of various group affiliations might feel offended or argue about your language choice- certainly I disagree with you on general statements except that they refer to you (I don't find receiving semen in any consensual format inherently degrading), but you are entitled to do whatever you like with your own body.

You don't find sex enjoyable. Nothing wrong with that, some people, both male and female, simply don't. However, most people do find sex enjoyable so there is inherently benefit in it. Your thoughts on sex don't really fit with most RPers or most BPers because they don't fit with most people. I'd say the philosophy they come closest to is sex-negative radical feminism, of course there is a whole lot more crazy included with that school of thought.

Those things aren't in competition with sex or intimacy. Most times I hear people saying they stopped doing X to focus on Y, it's just an excuse, a pretext. They aren't comfortable with X for whole different reasons.

I was on the same page as you until you stated not wanting romance or sex. You're living my dream life, somehow fulfilled with career and self improvement. I'm still going to probably give up and lead a similar lifestyle, except I'm aware that I'll have a deep desire for romance and struggling against loneliness.

For me the benefit in sex is strong and there are positives I can gain from it, then again there are negatives because I take it seriously. It's perspective, also there are those who could have casual sex and be fine with it, it would be great if I could have this outlook but its not how I'm wired.

OP how do you do it? perhaps I should consider your outlook for my own well being, but I don't innately believe it so this would be self brainwashing wouldn't it? Technically I'm female but I feel genderless internally, I have a drive for success, yet can't enjoy relationships without deep connection, I'm in a rock and hard place heh.

Damn its freeing, the thought of not worrying if you're good enough, worrying about aging and appearance, competition, having a partner that would possibly limit or control your goals, etc. OP you have it figured out, if only I could find an internal switch to shut down my pursuit of romantic happiness.

Depending on your fetish, an orgasm shared with another person can be much more satisfying than an orgasm by a vibrator. A vibrator does exactly and only what you make it do. Another person might surprise or even guide you. Perhaps you are one of those who don't like surprises, which is absolutely fine to me, but please see that there are people who enjoy these things you don't prefer.

I have sex because it feels good. A penis feels a lot better than a vibrator. And a vibrator doesn't have hands and a mouth. In a committed relationship sex also functions as a bonding mechanism. I don't have sex "for love". I love and therefore I have sex. Love + desire makes for the best sex in my opinion.

My percpetion of TRPers is that they are very bad at sex and that they don't care about the woman's pleasure. This is the worst example I've seen yet. Makes me absolutely disgusted to think that a man would continue to have sex with a woman who is in pain unless that's what she specifically asked for.

If we were to assume that sex is or should be the way TRP describes it, then your standpoint makes perfect sense. I think TRP is completely wrong though and I think sex can be a very pleasurable experience for women as long as they are with a man (or woman) who respects them.

I think the social context of sex is very often that it disadvantages the women. The social whirlwind around it all can be degrading to everyone involved. I think getting pregnant can be hella inconvenient. STIs aren't much fun either. But the physical act itself, tab A in slot B? Nah. Mildly messy at worst.

Abstainance, celibacy, whatever one calls it is a very valid choice for either gender. Diverting all that energy into something else can really work if you've got the inclination or the discipline..

Sex is something two people do together. It doesn't have to be penetrative sex to ejaculation if that bothers you.

You could see the woman as penetrated, or you could see her as working herself with a dick, or as covering a dick, or overwhelming the man. There are all kinds of ways women can be "on top" in sex. It isn't necessary or true to think that sex dishonors or degrades a woman. Your evaluation of penetration and semen is pretty much arbitrary, and anyway there are other kinds of sex. Especially, it's not degrading if two people actually aren't keeping score or conquering, love each other and just want to make each other feel good.

I am concerned about what is in the background of this post. I hope you are OK. If you don't want to have sex, nobody can reasonably tell you that should. But it's a source of joy to many of us (including women!) and perhaps one day you will find a way to that same joy.

I don't think anything is degrading if you enjoy it and go into it willingly. some sex might be degrading to women, but I've seen some sex stories on reddit that are cringe-worthy and degrading to men-- like the guy whose GF used sex as a bargaining chip, refused sex after she orgasmed (even if he hadn't orgasmed yet) refused to go down on him but demanded oral without shaving/washing at all, etc etc.

As a woman, I agree that sometimes hetero sex does feel degrading. I don't feel that way all the time, but essentially I have to be in the mood to "be fucked." And I've never been assaulted or anything and I don't view men the way you view men. I don't think they're all ::insert unsavory quality:: It has nothing to do with that. It's just When I'm not in the mood or if I just have sex to please my partner it just feels like I'm being fucked. Something about the penetrative aspect of it. It feels invasive.

I think that's why I appreciate guys who can have an intimate encounter, a sexual encounter, and not have the end all be all be PIV.
