so one of my girlfriends was a terrible flirt. She'd do it right in front of me and be completely miffed when I called her on it. I say she knew exactly what she was doing, but this research would appear to prove me wrong.

More women reported being subject to sexual "over-perception" than "under-perception" in the last year. Meaning: They were the ones sending out friend vibes to men they interacted with, but getting sexual advances in response. Men, on the other hand, didn't really have this experience -- most of the time, they were sending out let's-get-it-on vibes to women who just thought they were being nice in a friendly way.

So, either:

1) women don't actually know they're flirting. or 2) these girls lied on an anonymous survey to protect the herd. Such is the desire to keep the fairer sex looking pure and squeaky clean.
