I often hear it said that the first step to red pill is rage. I didn't know why. I also wasn't fully red pilled. When I read enough of the sidebar to understand rp theory it clicked, and I got mad. The reason, in my estimation, is feeling cheated out of a life you could have had. You grow up and live years of your life playing by a certain set of rules and assumptions and when you find out that's not the way the world works you realize things could have been better.

It feels similar to a time I played a multi hour board game with some friends. The person who taught us the rules neglected to mention one very critically important fact: You win the game based on the cards you hold at the end, not based on the buildings you have on the board. I didn't know this and spent half the game constructing buildings because I thought that was the point. By the time I realized the way the game worked I was too far behind to catch up.

I spent 30 years of life thinking being a Nice Guy would get me girls, Covert contracts would get me laid, and beta behavior would get me promoted in the workplace. If I'd known better my life would likely be in a better place.
