There are some concepts of TRP that are universally applied. Such as lifting. Such as being in control of your own emotions (stoicism). Such as accepting that the only thing you can control is how you act. Things such as not being reactive. Things such as staying grounded, a strong sense of identity, a strong frame. For relationships, things such as being the captain/leader, being assertive come to mind. Those all seemed like common sense to me before I discovered TRP (thanks to me having male role models in my life), but obviously TRP helps reminding/reinforcing.

However, there are other concepts that I've noticed simply make me overthink things negatively. The main concept is AWALT. Sure, there are women who cheat and branch swing. Sure, marriage is perhaps not the best idea in modern society. Sure some women crave attention/validation from other people. But is this necessarily true for EVERY WOMAN? I honestly doubt that -- and this to me is the toughest pill for me to swallow and internalize.

I'm currently in a LTR with a girl. She does to me what I'd imagine the ideal TRP girlfriend would. She cooks, she bakes, she cleans my house, she buys me gifts. She doesn't expect me to pay for meals. She doesn't expect me to have ALL my time for her. She's very self-aware and knows when she's overreacting (especially when I call her out for being child). She supports my goals in life, she massages me when I study, and she enhances my life in multiple facets (e.g. improving my fashion, constantly giving me new music to listen to, etc). She's clearly converted to me and she practically worships me with non-sexual favors. Needless to say, however, I will not hesitate to drop her because I know that I could convert another girl if I wanted to. I know I could find a replacement.

I should be happy in this relationship, and happy for relationships in general. I should be having fun and enjoying myself -- isn't that what having this higher-level of knowledge all about? And to pinpoint exactly what's this problem, it is because of my insecurity with relationships in general, manifested from reading TRP.

The main thing that bugs me is \"AWALT\". It's the only part of TRP that I simply do not agree with. I believe every girl has a threshold, and not ALL GIRLS would cheat, for instance. Some girls are more open to cheating, but others I simply could not see a circumstance in which they would cheat, even if \"all women act based on impulse\" or \"all women only follow emotions and hamster afterwards\". And most of these stories, honestly, I feel like are a minority of the younger women demographic. And because I'm unable to internalize this, it is making me paranoid. Every time I speak with my current girlfriend the idea of \"she's probably cheating on me\" is coming up, and it's preventing me from enjoying my present moment.

There are a few reasons this \"AWALT\" is very hard for me to swallow. Firstly, I've been raised from a sexually-oppressed patriarchal culture (Asian). Women are simply painted as loyal housewives serving their husband -- and while things are becoming more liberal, I still do not see a possibility of every girl cheating. Secondly, I've seen relationships that do work -- such as long-distance relationships -- when no one on each side cheated.

TL;DR: I do not agree with AWALT, and it's the toughest pill to swallow. I believe I may perhaps misunderstand it. I've noticed that this is making me paranoid even though my relationship is currently awesome.

UPDATE I realize I misunderstood AWALT. Now that I understand it, it seems like common sense. Thanks for all the replies.
