Reading through that article felt like I was reading through my own life story. Lately, it would seem that I don't even have time to pursue women because all of my time goes to work, the gym and pursuing my own hobbies.

Enjoyed the message but had a couple cringes since he spoke like a MGTOW but from a bluepill femcentric perspective.

The reason it felt like a competition between the men at the party is because that's exactly what life is. Biology is a bitch like that but female hypergamy isn't going anywhere as long as there's multiple men to catch her attention and dish out tingles.

He also had to let everyone know that men ruined dating. Let's just ignore the sexual revolution and female birth control. There's all these players getting ONSs and women don't participate because they're innocent. /s

You can't get to genuinely know a women and take interest in her nowadays because doing so (unless you are a natural player) involves letting down your defenses and devoting energy away from required "pick up oriented acitivities like" saying the right thing/standing up straight/texting not too much etc etc etc. There are all these rules, and internalizing them takes time and constant maintenance. you become a facade of who you really are in order to hit on girl. every girl becomes "practice with a 5% chance of actually getting her". You have to stop the pathway of emotional investment as to not appear needy, which is directly correlated with really getting to know someone.

The whole thing is fucked up, I agree with the author.

While this has some MGTOW concepts, which are definitely worth taking to heart, but it shouldn't be overlooked that this guy in particular is probably more a blue pill who finally just gave up.

I've been happier not focusing on dating at all. It has been a huge waste of time/money and it's only been in the past two years I've really integrated that fact into my life. Still have plates but that is getting old, turning my hobbies (art/3D design/weight lifting) into paying weekend gigs is more fulfilling.

I never had a woman shaped hole in my life and accepting that has made me a healthier, happier person. If I need a woman's opinion I do yard work or make pies for a couple of widows who live on my street and talk to them, plus I'm helping out the community.

Interesting that as part of this momentous decision to "stop dating" the author decided to further his career, learn a skill or two and enjoy his life. Interesting to me because most of the men in my generation did that. We finished our degrees, got jobs in the careers we were interested in, learned a few extra skills such as playing an instrument or carpentry...The author is merely talking about doing what men in the 1960s and 1970s did naturally...that is, living our lives.

I'm so curious about how you guys talk about sex and women all of the time as if women are things and sex is something you need like food and drink. It's not. It's merely an urge, but something you can get past by distracting yourself with work or hobbies.

I guess you guys need to get out and live your lives instead of sitting behind a computer and doing nothing.
