I'm literally going to live homeless as of tonight for two weeks until my lease begins because the current place I'm at is full of self-destructive alcoholic drug addicts. I've been working longer hours on purpose just to avoid going back to the shit hole they offered to let me stay for free - which is doing far more harm than help.

There was a thread about this earlier this week. I'll be living in my car, sleeping in my office at work during weeknights(taking on extra responsibilities because I have the time) and sleeping with a plate over the weekends, I know a place I can get full meals for 7 dollars so I'll be eating there for the next 12 days (until I move in). Showering at the gym. And I'm doing laundry right before I leave tonight (last me the 12 days). I'll get some new Calvin Klein briefs at Walmart if things are getting a little chafey.

It's only 12 days, but I can't wait to just sever these ties already. My only regret is not doing this sooner.

Great post. Culturally, that is our problem. We live as if we will life forever.

How arrogant of us to assume that there will be a tomorrow to do the things in our hearts that we want to do.

This post came at a good time. I have been improving myself for close to 9 months now but haven't approached at all. The reason for this is that I'm half way through my weight loss. I have 47 more lbs to go before I have abs. I've been lifting but without purpose. In 4 months I'm going out of the country for 2 weeks. I'm increasing my lifts for bulk. I'm lowering. My calorie consumptions. This is the last push; the downward slope of my mountain.

I use my weight as an excuse. I'm too fat still. My self esteem is still too low to cold approach. After July I will be ready. I have a timeline. I know I make it seem like I care too much about what other think but I don't. This is about my mentality, my self outlook. Thanks for the post. This and my new Arnold poster will motivate me to finish my goal.

I've been hardcore about eating clean lately, one cheat meal a week. I've been taking Krav Maga classes, in addition to a weekend Krav Maga retreat that is a total of 18 training hours from an Israeli instructor where we'll be learning hostage drills and other badass stuff. I'm recovering from the verge of mgtow depression and trying to reverse engineer attraction by at least being in better shape so that I don't have to "chase". My life is still far from the redpill ideal, but the allure of working out multiple times a week has almost completely replaced my love of the cannabis lifestyle. I've started incorporating Kettlebell swings, jump rope, farmer walks, and am working up to handstand push-ups. Thanks for this post, trp has motivated me in ways that mainstream bs has never been able to.

Sometimes I'm avoiding pain now to save up the strength required to beat the obstacle in front of me. Great post, just expanding on the idea, not disagreeing. We all need a port in the storm sometimes. It's just that if you attempt to stay there too long you never leave. Or worse yet, you're thrown backwards.

Hmm. I like the general idea of the post, but the title isn't really accurate. Avoiding pain is healthy. Avoiding discomfort is I think what you mean. Quite different.
