Mine has her crap jammed into every nook and cranny of her place, out of sight and one small earthquake away from spilling out all over the house. It's all about appearances of being well-adjusted and put together and not actually being well-adjusted and put together.

I like to keep the house clean cos my parents are horribly messy and I hated growing up in a house that was constantly messy, cleaning up other people's crap. So I like to keep the house clean. That said, if you keep the place a decent standard of cleanliness it doesn't take any more than a few hours a week to maintain - certainly not 4 hours per day.

However I've never seen anyone claim that they do. Normally when talking about additional labour in the home it's a mix of cooking, cleaning, childcare, meal planning, food shopping etc which altogether does take a substantial amount of time.

This only works if guys are 100% upfront about their own living standards so a woman can choose freely. How many guys up their housework game when dating the girl they want to marry? She comes over and your place is immaculate when for the rest of your life it was a pig sty.

You can't bait and switch. Keep high housekeeping standards until after you marry and then say you don't care that much.

I grew up with a clean freak mother and i won't lie and say i appreciate it as an older man. My dad is extremely skilled but leaves a mess in his wake while my mother was never particularly good at anything new but was organized and a decent cook. Perfect for eachother

Also men who live alone spend way less hours doing domestic chores than women who live alone. And there are studies that men and women have the same threshold for cleanliness and urgency to clean.

This means that men are actually better at it and do the same work in less time. Yet feminists insist that women doing the same work in a longer time only shows that women work more.
