Personality, confidence, and intellect? Wigga please. Women only care about that when it affects status, money, or education (and therefore income).

What you're claiming is a bunch of qualities hot rich guys have, but qualities that are ignored in poor, unattractive guys.

Those qualities do matter, for example, comparing two perfect 10s, then one with the slightly more humorous personality will be "better", or maybe money gives an edge to a 9 over a 10.

But personality on a fat nerdy "smart" guy? You never see that. You know why? That's in the lower 80%.

I think you're taking it literally but not seriously.

Think about what percentage of the men you see on a daily basis (let's say pre-covid) that you would so much as consider as prospective mates. Don't forget to include the homeless, the deformed, the otherwise unfortunate, you know the ones you'd be inclined to generally ignore as non-existent when thinking of mating. It's certainly not 100% that you'd seriously consider right? Maybe it's not literally 20%, either.

Speaking as a mid-30s woman, I don't think that even having a 9/10 personality can make up for a 3/10 in looks. Likewise, a 3/10 personality will be an automatic No, even with a 9/10 body.

Yes, I have a type too...I like short/average height men who are chubby and have no facial hair. That's attractive imo, and it's what you automatically see before ever getting to hear him speak a single word. That's the key though, there still has to be at least some initial physical attraction. A conventionally attractive jock/gymbro might be incredibly nice, kind, smart, and nerdy...but I still don't want him since he's not outwardly attractive.

If I honestly just cannot imagine a guy naked in my bed no matter how hard I try, he could have a stellar personality but I'm still not going to ask him out.

First, that “study” is flawed. It doesn’t seem to take age, profile completion, photo quality or anything else into consideration. It also doesn’t measure attraction, just whether or not they liked the profile. It also doesn’t account for what the women were looking for vs. what the men are looking for. One more thing, it tells you that the women liked 20% of the profiles, not that they all liked the same profiles that account for 20% of the sample. So a guy just has to fit into one of the woman’s 20% and he’s already being considered. Not every woman has the same 20%. Now let’s get into if we were to assume an individual woman liked 20% of the profile. I’d already argue that 20% is far too large. If you were to have men aged 18-60 equally dispersed, most women would probably disqualify more than 80% on age alone. As someone in my 20s, I want someone aged 22-30. That’s a range of 8 years and accounts for under 20% Here’s the math: ages 18 to 60= a range of 42. I’m looking for 22 to 30= a range of 8. (8/42)x100=a little over 19% if you were to assume ages were dispersed evenly. That’s on age alone and the reality is that the users are older.

Because the young men here do not value conversation skills, or social, or economic abilities in woman.When a person has a hard time carrying a conversation they tend to call others boring.

Because to conclude that woman care most about your conversational skills/ability to connect with others once you are not gross is a fact that is hard to accept for guys who do not want to accept that it's not external/wrist size reasons why people find them unappealing.

I feel like this sub focuses so much on stastistics and data that they mostly overlook that there are many other qualities women look for in men when it comes to dating.

With the exception of the mentally ill and extremely unattractive (Actually quite rare), pretty much all women are ONLY attracted to the top 20% of men.

The issue is that their perceptions are so biased toward the true genetically elite men, that they find attractive men to be average, average looking men to be unattractive, and unattractive men to be extremely unattractive.

For example,

In the West women describe a 5'9 male as short and a 6'1 foot tall man as average when in fact the 6'1 man is taller than the average male height by 3 inches while the 5'9 man is only an inch shorter than the actual average height of 5'10.

They describe a 6 in penis as average and a 7 in penis as slightly above average when in reality the average length is 5 inches. That means that the penis women are calling "Slightly above average (7 in) is roughly two standard deviations above the mean.

Now I know that this can get distorted with the increasing amount of penises that the average Western woman sees in her lifetime (80-100) but still.

To me this shows how truly biologically hardwired it is for women to only go for the very best.

Not because they want the best but because they have a narrow acceptable threshold for what they find attractive.

ALL women find average men unattractive and ugly men impossible to be around.

If all the men and women in your area were ranked according to average overall attraction to the other gender (including all factors), I think a lot of blackpillers would be shocked who their actual "match" is.

I'm aware of the tinder data but OLD doesn't work well for women either; it's just much easier for them to hookup (although they may not always survive).
