When looking at the stats, Trans people have a 60% suicide rate, some never lose the feeling of dysphoria, there are many instances of them having multiple mental disorders, and the more I think/look at it, the hormones and surgeries aren’t doing anything. Nor is this culture shift.

We’re opening up the treatments to younger folks and we won’t see the repercussions of that till they’re adults, and we’re already seeing an increase in people de-transitioning (most being F-M who have been victimized). I don’t think physically altering their bodies and hormones, some to the point of sterilization, is beneficial. Sure some look happier but the fact still stands that the suicide rate is high, and dysphoria is a recurring issue that fails to go away... if it’s is categorized as a mental disorder/illness/issue, what ever you wanna call it. Shouldn’t we treat is as such? To my knowledge there are no mental health treatments that recommend surgery outside of trans people. I think it’s just not addressing the issues of those people and is hurting them more so...

I’m always open to discussion, and I assure that just bc I say this doesn’t mean I’m going to discriminate or be rude to a trans individual. This is just my concern on the treatments and the perception of the disorder
