We were seeing trends before, of men spending more time watching porn and playing games, while women started attention whoring more in instagram and doing more and more things like onlyfans and other streaming for attention and money. Dating apps are more popular than ever. Both of these things involve an aversion to going outside.

Now we have this massive pandemic. It is going to hit people who don't go outside harder. And people are going to be forced to stay inside for at least a couple of weeks, if not much longer. Online games are already recording record highs in terms of player numbers. The effect of this I do not expect to fade away entirely.

I would not have expected this disease to come and change everything the way it has so fast. But it has done so. It seems like there will be a lot of people, already lured inside by screens, who won't be leaving even more than usual. A recession would also encourage staying at home with parents.
