My dad is amazingly successful in business, but that has never translated to his relationship with women. Even in his 70s, after seeing how time and time again women have used him for beta bucks, he continues to dream of the potential of a perfect happy relationship with a woman who loves him unconditionally.

He divorced his first wife and felt so guilty for it he chose to pay alimony to her in the form of half his income every year for the rest of his life.

Part of my recent decision to take the red pill journey has been realizing just how inaccurate the male privilege narrative is. When I realized that my dad essentially gave thus woman a free ticket to never work or worry again, I became infuriated.

My dad is undergoing major brain surgery in a few weeks and has finally written his will. Originally, I was listed as power of attorney for him and the estate.

He informed me the other day that he has modified it so that I am now joint power of estate with his ex-wife, who he has not seen in over 20 years.

Suffice to say, I am upset. His rationale is that joint PoA will protect both my side of the family as well as his ex-wife's children, my half siblings.

The perspective I told him is that I do not trust this woman, he hasn't seen her in decades, he's already given literal millions of dollars to her, why give her more power?

I recognize at its core TRP is about sexual strategy and bettering oneself. But this frame of male power has been incredibly useful in other areas of my life, and I am very curious what a red pill perspective would be on my situation.

What is at risk with joint PoA? How can I help my dad see that he is making a decision based on blind emotion?

And yet it's a conflict for me because I want to respect my dad's wishes and history. I wonder if my perspective of AWALT and realization of female privilege is blinding me to his situation.
