It's the kind of guy who goes to feminist and political rallies and truly believes in the cause.

Ran into him on the bus, he works (used to, now) as a municipal gardener and was in charge of a small crew. An openly feminist female co-worker in his crew was doing some forestry work pruning some trees under his supervision and wasn't wearing a helmet, which is mandatory. He, thinking that he can talk to her as he would to any of his other male work crew, told her to "please wear your helmet or they'll fuck you up". She took it straight to HR as "sexual harassment" that same evening. Result? Fired.

He kept mumbling that he doesn't understand, that he is a feminist too, that he didn't mean it like that, that it was just a comment, that he went to the feminist rally, that the helmet is mandatory... the helmet is mandatory...

There was a girl with him on the bus, and as he explained his story she kept saying that "in the current year you can't say things like that to a woman, it's mean and derogatory". He kept trying to agree and trying to explain that he didn't mean it like that, that the helmet is mandatory... It was kind of surreal. I wished him luck.
