Personal Finance is like death and tax, it follows you every corner you go.
Benefits of winning in finance:
1) Reputation <-----Everything builds on this, money/power/sex. BUILD it and GUARD it because your LIFE depends on it.
2) Power <----you need reputation to get it.
3) Follower

The money will catch you when your unsatiable desire of materialism explode and it will control you from inside (so does POWER). Best way to beat it is to maintain frame, be stoic, be minimalist, be smart with your money.

Myself: early 30, Asian, solid 7, grew up in 3rd world country, polyglot, crap education but very well connected. A good example of Law #41. Single and current #85, low BMI, 6'1.

There is often 2 approach to money: 1) Make lots of money 2) Save money

The simple formula for most man:
1) Elite education in STEM, or work your way up in MANAGEMENT
2) Build connection, find your niche market, be very good at it and profit.
3) Born with rich dad and 5 million trust fund

You can master ONE of it and bring profit. Point people missed:

1) non-STEM, and go shit Master/Ph.D./Post Grad. Top 10 MBA =best ROI.
2) Don't know how to make a good goal, can't finish the goal, or keep changing the goal.
3) Learn how to socialize, and read/display human-behavior. Network.
4) Stay away from low ROI things/person, do Lift/Travel/Reading/Sex/Social/Build a system
5) Don't get married, chose who you raw dogged wisely.
6) Learn the self-awareness when you just fuck it up and keep frame to recover from it.
7) Avoid traps, like divorce, unemployment, let go of the personal health, uncontrollable spending habits, invest time/money in anything that brings you no money/power/reputation gain or too late to enter the game (like someone wants to be e-sports champion but never play seriously until late 30, it is not smart to enter game this late stage because the catch up ROI is too low. We heard this type of bad deal, know yourself and beat better power curve can save your time/money, stay away from people that can't make a rational decision that doesn't know when and how to give up their "dreams" and as delusional. Potential and delusional are two very different things, learn how to ID them.)

Now on #2 part.

STOIC LIFE, minimalist lifestyle (note: not hipster)

Keep your value in check, and constantly eliminate cheap, useless, over-complicated, or bad quality things/person from your life. Is your job shitty? change it, or go school to change it. Speak not about your goal or agenda, be like everyone around you, but do things differently. Keep your word as valuable as you, because that is your reputation. Remember low on words bring value to your words because they are NOT easily obtainable. Your living area is the gate to your soul, if you live like shit, your life is like shit. Woman don't give a fuck if you can't put your life together.

1) Stop waste money on food that being brought-consume, cook your food.
2) When you can't do X without money, you can't do it even when you got money
3) Save for retirement plan before 25 to 35, once you past 35 to start retirement is too late.
4) Don't buy, just don't. Also never upgrade, everything was designed the way anyway.
5) Don't Hoard. Throw away things you don't use, keep things you use or bring you value.
6) Buy a house if you want, but don't jump in if you like to travel and live aboard.

Memento mori, or vive memor leti.
Put YOU before anything, including friend, family, job, girls. Pay yourself first.

If you don't have connection or capital to start, build your network, money normally come AFTER your position, lots of people didn't realize that money is part of the by-product of a person. If you are truly as good as your claim, money will come. You can't really get money until you police yourself and correct all the imperfections of the ideal "you". Even you do get lucky to have money in the short term you do not have the ability to remain in power because you don't have the power, to begin with.
