Ah yes, Monkhood: that time-honored tradition of retiring from worldly life to get swole so you can eventually nail hotter chicks.
[–]Endorsed Contributoritiswr1tten 26 points27 points28 points 5 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Monk mode done without well-defined exit goals and internalizing the focus on yourself can also be a months or years long buffer against success. Measure twice and cut once.
That said, getting swole and truly becoming selfish will get you on the fast track to sexual success. The only question is: if you achieve your intermediate goals, have you thought about what's at the deeper end of the pool?

There's a balance to be struck though, noobs here need to err on the side of diving in head first - analysis paralysis is real.

Even if you get nothing else from it, being much more fit and healthy is always a major positive. It will positively contribute to how you feel for the rest of your life.
But you will get much more from it. Your testosterone will be raised, your confidence, etc and that alone will make you a better man.
There should be a big sticky at the top of this thread in bright red letters: JOIN A GYM AND LIFT 3-4 DAYS A WEEK FOR A DECADE. It would be the most potent advice you could give if you want menlets to become men again and raise proper families with proper children.
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
The key to monk mode, I feel, is getting to a place where you feel confident in yourself. I feel like the sexual frustration is fuel for improving. I definitely agree that it needs to be rigidly planned. You have to say "I plan to achieve x, y, z, and a, then I'll get back on the market."
[–]Harry_Wangs46 points 5 years ago [recovered] (2 children) | Copy Link
Hey man, I understand where you're coming from. Congrats
The goal isn't always to get laid the most. I am not true monk mode, but I mainly just go for easy bangs 1-2 times a week or month off tinder.
By cutting out partying, drinking, etc... My mind and body are both sharper, even if I get laid less, it's still worth it to me.
This isn't a PUA reddit...If getting laid becomes the #1 goal, you're putting women as #1. Women enhance life, but shouldn't be the #1 part of it.
I'm even breaking up with a girlfriend/plate right now because she takes up too much time and I have other things to focus on.

In short:
don't fap, dont play games, go the gym.
that's fairly reasonable to build a decent life
[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Add in "build a skill that can translate into some sort of financial success" and you've got yourself a stew.

My app just reached 60k downloads I made by myself within 18 months. All this unconsciously increased my SMV big time.

You say this because you think he's going for beta bucks or what?
[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
You got 100 numbers while in monk mode? Maybe its not what you think it is.
[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Great post, @Auxfite. This is inspiring and is a good reminder to lift and that being self-motivated can have massive rewards. Congratulations on your success with your app. I need to get off Reddit and get my ass to the gym. In my opinion, SMV is the single greatest predictor of happiness in a man's life.
[–]Camjd10 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (21 children) | Copy Link
What is the purpose of this post? You talk about lifting, and then you humble brag about your app. If your point is to focus on yourself and your goals than I agree, but honestly this post is sloppy.

can’t ever congratulate someone.
So you wanted to be congratulated? Lmao.
All I did was share valueable information
How valuable is knowing that your app got 60k downloads? Lol
[–]Auxfite[S] 7 points8 points9 points 5 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
“So you wanted to be congratulated? Lmao”
Look at how you focus on one sentence and just forget the rest 😂😂😂 you fucking crab you’re stuck with low SMV and mad.. The truth makes people mad. Just like when you try to convince a BP cuck RP knowledge.
[–]Kyson5 16 points17 points18 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Today you learn not to be a little bitch on your own threads. Mods have time and time again facepalmed reading threads like these before deleting them.
You want people to congratulate you? Congrats! Your app sold 60k? I'm proud of you
But let's not kid ourselves. You did a bit of monk mode, but you're waving the results around in our face, both humble bragging and postulating like you've discovered something life changing that no one has done before..
I won't say anything more because there are at least 3 replies here that are similar to my own. But have another read of the rules and perhaps the sidebar to see what I'm talking about.

You may as well name names, calling out a sub like TRP where most material relates to dealing with people like you will be fun to watch
Chill out tough guy, no need to fight everyone that isn't kissing your ass
[–][deleted] -3 points-2 points-1 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You're indulging in a bit of a hyperbole here. He said one line about his app, literally. And he was encouraging others to go monk mode as a result of the results he'd experienced.
[–]Camjd10 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
Then just make a post about how your career and lifestyle have improved. Say, hey guys, monk mode worked for me. But you go on to try and lecture about lifting, "There’s no reason anyone here shouldn’t be doing heavy compound lifts 3-5x week. " And finish with, "No reason for anyone to have low SMV unless disabilities."
I'm happy that your life is going well, I'm just puzzled at the post.

Your blueprint is just lazy. You make it seem like you put so much effort into the post when your second sentence doesn't make any sense. Don't play the victim. You calling me a beta for criticizing a lazy post is exactly proving my point.

Hint: It isn't.

I saw a post earlier about a guy explaining that people need to post more on RP with our 300,000 subscribers. Maybe, if everyone wasn’t so hypercritical of every word someone say in a post people would be encouraged to post more. Give the man a break he is pointing us all in the right direction.
[–]Auxfite[S] -3 points-2 points-1 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
This forum is full of crabs in a bucket. Just look at this comment thread. People are so mad because I gave the blueprint and they’re stuck in their blue pill ways so they’re pissed. Cucks

i think it’s the alpha cockiness they have were they feel they need to be authoritive and right about something...
[–]Auxfite[S] -1 points0 points1 point 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Fake it until you make it. Those aren’t real alphas they wannabes. Not knowing that the fake it until you make it takes decades before you actually become an alpha. I rather take the other route.

[–]TheStoicCrane 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
Why 5X5 unless you're power lifting? 5X5 is a waste. A rep range of 1st Set of 15+ (to failure) 2nd set of 10-12+ (failure) 3rd set 8-10+ to failure followed by a 5th and 6th set up to 6 reps to failure is what bodybuilders do to optimize both strength and growth.
The key is to lift weight that makes you fail at your intended rep range and lift beyond that rep range (for instance lifting 225lbs at 7 6eps reps to the to point where on the 7th rep you fail exactly) to exacerbate burn which leads to gains assuming your diet is on point.
Arnold Swarzeneggar's Encyclopedia of Bodybuilding and Strength and Training Anatomy Workout II are must haves must read for any serious lifter looking to promote efficient gains.
TRP loves to spout lift, lift, lift but there are too few posts about how to lift effectively and efficiently to make the most out of invested time. I might look to change that time permitting.

Okay Im currently doing legs one day, biceps one day, chest / tricep one day, back one day. Thinking about changing it up
[–]Auxfite[S] 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
Do legs twice a week. It’s not talked about but legs is where your testosterone boost like crazy from deadlifts/squats. Also do chest/triceps twice a week
[–]The__Tren__Train 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
It’s not talked about but legs is where your testosterone boost like crazy from deadlifts/squats.
lol this meme needs to die. even if it were remotely true, it's completely transient, and by no means enough to elicit any noticeable effect.
[–]cmith99 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Thank god someone else realises this! You're not going to notice much if any effect on T levels
[–]InvictusDO 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
That's one thing, chest. I can bench more than I can squat because chest was the only thing I did for years (just general laziness before I stepped up my game) and so I'm not looking to make my chest any bigger. Bi's twice a week?
[–]Auxfite[S] 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
You can always make your chest bigger but just don’t forget legs where the testosterone kicks in ( confidence & frame ) come with that.
Very minimal increase of testosterone with doing squats/deadlifts to just lifting in general. Happy to be proven otherwise however from what I have read the increase will not be noticeable at all (btw im not against the movements at all - I do both every week).

Have you cooked them differently such as grilling or baking? Or cooking potatoes instead. I recently did both and it was a game changer especially the potatoes found some recipes on YouTube.
Never tried differently but I forgot all about potatoes. Gonna get them tomorrow thanks 🙏🏾. Can you send link?

Stay off porn / excessive masterbating which lowers your dopamine to do stuff like going to the gym
I thought monk mode meant no-PMO (porn, masturbation, orgasm) at all.
[–]Auxfite[S] 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Yes. I only did so when blue ball pain was too much
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
That is a myth. You should simply massage your organ, not masturbate. It will go away.
It’s not a myth. When your dick has been hard for 3 weeks and you haven’t let anything out it needs to release

> Doesn't get laid for half a year > Claims to be Alpha
Christ, what the hell happened to this sub? Lifting is crucial but you don't have to wait until you look like Adonis to start hitting on chicks. What's the point of improving your SMV if you literally don't have sex?
[–]Auxfite[S] 16 points17 points18 points 5 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
Shit like this is why I’m glad TRP is getting taken down. I just gave the blueprint on becoming a man and idiots like you claim I can’t be alpha because I decided to take a break from women?
Ps I’ve probably gotten over 100 snapchats / numbers since monk mode but look at you so quick to assume.
[–]RoiRouge3 points 5 years ago [recovered] (2 children) | Copy Link
> I just gave the blueprint on becoming a man
Lel. Marcus Aurelius gave us a blueprint on how to be a man. You ain't no philosopher son. You're just a glorified app-developer who has just learned how to cook his own meals.
> I can’t be alpha because I decided to take a break from women?
Didn't say that. Just pointed out how you don't necessarily need to take a break from women to focus on other stuff. I also don't see the point of increasing your SMV if you don't plan on having sex at all. It's contradictory.
[–]Razkolol 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Blueprint on becoming a man: don't have sex. Genius. You sound pretty angry and agressive in your responses, I think getting laid might improve your quality of life more than mental masturbating about how you got thousands of phone numbers but didn't act on any of them. "Look look guys, my smv power is over 9k, im getting all those numbers, but i'm too good to act on them, i'll just go back into my cave cause the dopamine and validation from getting numbers is good enough, also they might flake, so i'm also eliminating fear of rejection by not acting, but i'm a man ok?". I'm sure as fuck you have 2-3h a week to spare in order to get laid, but "monk mode" validation is enough for you not to act, which is unmanly as fuck imo. More than a month of figuring your shit out in monk mode = full retard mode.
[–]Razkolol 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Oh you didn't read but you see jealously and that I'm low smv xD Hilarious. You use monk mode as an excuse and can't take criticism, enjoy your lower grade quality of life, those numbers that you got I'm out there fucking them ;)

Honestly I just cook chicken, Brown rice, eggs, broccoli , oatmeal. I could cook other meats but I just prefer chicken. I learned from YouTube videos
