Non sequiturs are what's know in hypnosis as "Pattern interrupts". They work by derailing the conscious mind and causing the unconscious mind to "boot up" to the reality of what's going on as something novel is occurring, and novel things are of extreme interest to your limbic brain as they can signify either opportunity or danger.

When such things happen your limbic brain is dropping your mind into a "source code" programme of prepared heuristics to deal with what could happen.

The good news is, that when the limbic brain is in direct contact with the world and freed from the cautionary shackles of the conscious mind it is also easily influenced on an emotional level, as the reverse traffic doesn't have to get through the critical factor of said conscious mind.

A really good non sequitur/pattern interrupt is the phrase....

"What wouldn't happen if you didn't?".

It doesn't make sense without a lot of thinking and creates confusion and thus causes a pattern interrupt and limbic brain activation.

Visual sign of this are loss of focus in the eyes, pupil dilation and a slight softening of the facial tone of the face. Don't get all anal on this though just proceed with the goal in hand.

Here's an example.

Girl: I have to get back to my friends, we're leaving soon.

You: What wouldn't happen if you didn't?

[Watch for the signs and then give your instructions to her unconscious mind; It can't be too direct though, If you say "come back to mine" she will snap out of it, you have to sneak it into play by using what's called a "weasel phrase".]

Example of weasel phrases:

"I'm not saying that you should come back to mine."

"If you wanted to come back to mine."

"Imagine if you come back to mine."

The words come back to mine are the suggestions and the rest of the sentence is the "weasel phrase". When you say the suggestion make full eye contact, this amps up the emotional impact of the words in what's called "Analogical marking".

Once you have fired off the suggestion add a question at the end. A question will derail her conscious mind from what you have just said as her critical factor will want to focus on answering it.

In this case use "I'm not saying that you should come back to mine [pause] but if you did what time could you stay till?"

This is a presupposition that she will come back to yours [and creates the dominant frame] but also gets her to "future pace" herself into a future reality by imagining the scenario ahead of the fact.

I used to fuck around with weird „openers“ back in my Pick Up Artist time. Quickly I’ve discovered that words don’t matter at all.

I tried more and more just plain weird shit like „hey excuse me, do you put bacon in potatoe salad?“ and it worked like a charm.

If you’ve never tried it - try it. Works like a charm.

P.S: But don’t fall out of frame no matter how confused the girl looks/reacts.

Stumbled upon nonsequitor game without realizing it. 2 years back I had this outer game technique where I’d slightly slow down my speech and make my gestures flowing then gracefully make a fist in front of me and say “boom” where it fits in conversation then shift to direct eye contact. If you look through body language, the fist communicates dominance, power, aggression and paired with this explosive onomatopoeia and direct sexual eye contact got these crazy reactions like “omg what’s your name”, instant make outs etc. Goes to show how women listen entirely to their feelings and hardly think about what you’re saying at all. Try the boom this week ✊🏻
